I’ve been buying for 15 years on this platform and not once have I failed to pay an auction. Now, my card is forcibly automatically charged 1 hour after EVEN IF THE SELLER DOESNT WANT THAT because 1% of users fail to pay. WHAT IF I WANT TO WIN ANOTHER AUCTION FROM THE SELLER INSTEAD OF PAYING SHIPPING MULTIPLE TIMES AND MAKE THEM REPACKAGE MULTIPLE TIMES? WHAT IF I WANT TO ADD MORE BUY IT NOWS TO THAT ORDER AND CHECK OUT ALL AT ONCE INSTEAD OF PAYING SHIPPING MULTIPLE TIMES AND MAKE THEM REPACKAGE MULTIPLE TIMES? WHAT IF I WANT TO USE FINANCING OPTIONS INSTEAD OF FORCING A DIRECT PAYMENT? “Oh, just do that in that hour†WHAT IF IM AT WORK WHEN THE AUCTION ENDS? WHAT IF THE SELLERS AUCTIONS END MORE THAN AN HOUR APART? WHAT IF IM SLEEPING WHEN THE AUCTION ENDS? WHAT IF THE SELLER DOESNT WANT THIS STUPID SYSTEM AND YET YOU FORCE IT ON EVERYONE WHY ARE YOU MANDATING PUNISHMENT THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER FAILED TO FOR THE SMALL FRACTION ACCOUNTS THAT DONT? This product development team needs to get their head out of their 🫠it’s like them and the engineers are in a competition for who can sabotage the company more by making the customer experience as terrible as possible through pure incompetence. My spending has gone from thousands a month to maybe a couple hundred dollars out of pure frustration with how much this messes up how I make my orders. I’m now forced to do 1 item at a time and nothing that would be 6 month finance since they don’t allow you to set that up. and to think it could all be avoided if they WOULDNT PUNISH EVERYONE FOR THE SMALL FRACTION OF BUYERS WHO DONT PAY and instead implement a…wait for it…strike system. Wow what a novel concept that 10,000 other companies do. Don’t follow through on an auction? Now you have forced payments on your account for a year. All new accounts have forced payments for their first x number of purchases or 90 days. This solution took me 10 seconds to think of. But no, let’s instead make everything as annoying and inconvenient for buyers and sellers alike and GIVE NO OPTION TO SELLERS TO TURN IT OFF. Last question, and totally unrelated, why is Fanatics and PWCC wiping the floor with eBay? 🤔
