      EBAY STANDARD ENVELOPE TEMPORALLY UNAVAILABLE

Is anyone else having this issue? i just sold a trading card i had listed with eBay standard envelope as the shipping option but when i tried printing out the label it says its temporarily unavailable and my current only option is usps ground shipping. The dimensions of the envelope meet the threshold so im not sure what to do as shipping for $4 isn't even worth it at that point.

Ebay Standard Envelope Needs To Be Fixed!!! Please!!!

We came to ebay when they started Ebay Standard Envelope for the great opportunity to sell low-end sports cards.  It's been great and has allowed us to grow our business.   However, the lack of consistent scanning of the envelopes from USPS causes so many issues.   Having a tracking number to start makes the buyer feel as though they should see progress and they can keep track of their order.   However, not all buyers understand that USPS doesn't scan everything, so they expect movement.  So when there is no movement, they get paranoid.  They message us, accusing us of not shipping the item.   Then as soon as they are able to, they open a case.  As sellers, if we allow them to "ask ebay to step in" we get penalized for that, so we just refund them right away, because that's what any good seller would do.  Now I'm out the money.     So then I file an insurance claim and get my money back.  All of this can be avoided if one of two things occurred: 1. USPS scans the envelopes properly and tracking worked (I also get a ton where it says delivered but the buyer says they never got it) 2. Buyers aren't allowed to open cases for at least a month after the item was shipped.  I know that seems like a long time, but 99% of the time, buyers get the cards AFTER the case has been opened and closed.   The amount of admin work for sellers and ebay on this is ridiculous and can all be avoided.  I sometimes feel like doing stamps with no tracking would be better.

      eBay Standard Envelope

Free  eBay Standard Envelope I offered Free eBay Flat Rate Envelope because it's about a flat gem Pendant and leather necklace. Now that I sold one, when I clicked print label, it came up $5.97 shipping with USPS Ground Advantage. Sure, if my product cost $19.99, ebay charges me for advertising and also gets their fees, is not convenient for me to pay also almost $6 for shipping. eBay and shipping get most of the money for the item that is mine. Can some tell me why ebay doesn't allow me to ship with their flat rigid envelope ? I had in the past the same issue and I went to the post office and shipped it from there for less than $1. Thank you

Request to Increase the eBay Standard Envelope Limit from Two to Three Top-Loaders

Dear eBay Standard Envelope Team, I would like to respectfully request that eBay consider increasing the current limit of two top-loaders per eBay Standard Envelope shipment to three standard top-loaders . Over the past year, I have designed and tested a new trading card shipping system called First Class Card Pro (Patent Pending) . During development, one of my primary goals was ensuring that shipments remain fully compatible with USPS automated letter processing while providing significantly better protection for trading cards. In fact, I worked with my local USPS Postmaster to monitor shipments and identify issues to incrementally improve the design. Through extensive testing across thousands of shipments for my eBay store - Line Drive Cards, I have proven that three standard top-loaders can be safely mailed within the USPS letter specifications without creating thickness issues that would prevent automated processing and significantly enhancing shipment security. My First Class Card Pro system secures the top-loaders to a reinforcing/carrier card that evenly distributes the weight and stiffens the envelope to maximize security, eliminate top-loader movement, optimize envelope flex for USPS processing. The overall profile of a shipment using the First Class Card Pro system remains consistent with all USPS requirements and avoids the concentrated “bulge” that often causes processing issues with traditional packaging methods. Allowing three top-loaders would provide several important benefits: Sellers could ship up to six standard trading cards (two per top-loader - more for TCG) using eBay Standard Envelope. The First Class Card Pro system I developed works with top-loaders up to 60 pt thickness to accommodate multiple cards per top-loader. Buyers would receive better-protected shipments with reduced card movement to effectively eliminating damage in transit and items not received claims (INR) Sellers would have fewer incentives to split orders into multiple shipments. Sellers of low-dollar trading cards could offer their customers lower shipping charges versus more expensive methods of shipping multiple cards like USPS Ground Advantage. The program would be optimally useful for higher-volume, low-dollar trading card transactions. eBay Standard Envelope would become an even stronger value proposition for the trading card community. I believe this small policy change could significantly improve the experience for both buyers and sellers while maintaining compatibility with USPS automated processing requirements. I would welcome the opportunity to share the testing methodology, measurements, and prototype packaging that support these findings. My goal is simply to help make an already successful program even better for the collecting community. Thank you for your consideration and for your continued support of trading card sellers like me. Sincerely, Bill Martin Line Drive Cards First Class Card Pro

      Help and Contact Page Useless

I made two purchases from two different sellers. They said their product was delivered but NO it wasn't or I never received it. I contacted both sellers who were no help at all, so I've been trying to contact eBay. This process is totally impossible! I cannot send an email to report the seller because eBay doesn't have an option for no seller name and won't send it without one. I don't have a name because the purchases are no longer in my purchase history NOR are the sellers showing up in eBay. How do I get a record of the emails between us. How do these things just disappear? I've tried for days to contact eBay but their contact and help page is a joke. Nothing leads to nothing. I've been on an endless circle trying to get this resolved. AI doesn't help it only says the same thing repeatedly. EBAY YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! How can I report these sellers without a name or no longer in my history? I sent a call request to no avail, twice! I've sent an email they offered on their page, finally, to no avail. How do I get a hold of a human at eBay and how can I get my money back? I am so frustrated I could scream! This is unacceptable customer service! We spend our money here we should be able to talk to someone if we come across a problem that your "help" page does not cover! Again, eBay do better and send me my two refunds.

USPS Scan Issues with eBay Standard Envelope

So i have been having issues with any of the items i ship eBay standard envelope. The system never updates to eBay and now i have a couple open cases and funds on hold. So 1 item i sold and shipped out on May 27th never had any tracking info showing it was scanned or anything. On June 15th it finally showed that the packacge was shipped to buyer. That was the first scan the system showed. Im in Columbus, OH and the first scan from the item came from Seattle, WA. What steps should i take to prevent this issue? Also want to reassure the buyers that i am not scamming them.

eBay Standard Envelope and eBay International Shipping

I sell mostly trading cards and sports cards. I utilize ESE for the shipping. I recently had a buyer from Canada make a purchase of a single trading card under the EIS. The label that eBay printed for me is the standard ESE label for shipping. Do I just package the card as usual in a plain white envelope and mail it to the EIS hub that way? Thanks.

Refund on eBay standard envelope shipment

I sent an item using an eBay standard envelope. It says it's covered up to $20. The buyer reported they never received the item. So it looks like I'm required to offer a refund? However, there is no way for me to file a claim using any of the methods provided in other topics for these envelopes. How do I recoup the lost item value? This is the second time an envelope made it to the right city but never shows delivered. I ate the cost on the first lost item but would really like to avoid that every time an envelope disappears.

APO AE Military Seller Being Penalized for eBay Standard Envelope Scan Delays

I am looking for guidance from experienced sellers, moderators, or anyone familiar with APO military mail and Seller Performance metrics. I have been selling on eBay for more than 20 years and have roughly 5,000 completed sales. My current seller metrics are strong overall: 1 defect, 0 unresolved cases, and a late shipment rate under 1%. The issue involves eBay Standard Envelope shipments mailed from an APO AE military address in Germany. Recently, my Valid Tracking Rate dropped from 100% to 91.28% because 13 transactions were marked "Uploaded on time but no carrier scan." I also received a late shipment defect on a Standard Envelope order because the first USPS scan occurred after my handling time. My concern is not the scan date itself. My concern is that APO military mail and eBay Standard Envelope do not operate like a normal domestic USPS package. With Ground Advantage or Priority Mail, I can obtain an acceptance scan and receipt. With eBay Standard Envelope, there is no traditional USPS acceptance scan available to me. The envelope is processed through sorting equipment and tracking events can be delayed or missed entirely. When APO military mail is involved, the first USPS scan may not occur until after military postal processing. In my late shipment appeal, eBay acknowledged that the first USPS scan was June 16 and used that date as the shipping date. However, the item was delivered only a few days later in Indiana. My position is that the first USPS scan does not necessarily represent the actual mailing date for APO military mail. My larger concern is this: How is an APO military seller expected to comply with seller performance standards that depend on scan events occurring after the shipment has left the seller's possession? What action can an APO seller using eBay Standard Envelope take to guarantee compliance when there is no acceptance scan available and USPS scan timing is outside the seller's control? Has anyone else experienced this issue, particularly military sellers using APO addresses? Has anyone successfully escalated this type of concern to Seller Performance or received clarification from eBay regarding how APO Standard Envelope shipments are evaluated? Thank you for any insight.
