Subject: Request for Manual Review: Account Auto-Rejected on Appeal (Active Member Since 1998) [ 1 , 2 ] Hello eBay Developer Support Team and Community Moderators, I am requesting a manual review of my eBay Developers Program registration. I originally submitted a registration, received an automated denial, and subsequently filed an appeal using the official rejection-support form. [ 1 ] This morning, I received the following automated update: "Following our review, we’re unable to approve activation at this time. As part of eBay’s standard evaluation process, developer accounts are assessed against internal eligibility and risk controls..." Because the system response is generic and does not identify actionable issues, I am posting here hoping a team member can review my use case manually. My Account Background & Use Case: Account Standing: I have been an active, verified eBay member since 12/7/98 with 100% positive feedback . [ 1 ] The Application ("Hardware Watch"): This is a strictly private, personal tool built for my own account activity. Buying Functionality: It will use official Buy/Search APIs to monitor computer hardware matching specific parameters (model, price, condition, seller reputation, and return availability). Selling Functionality: It will leverage seller APIs to manage my personal inventory of electronics, musical equipment, and collectibles sold through my established 1998 account. Compliance: The tool is entirely internal. It will not operate a third-party marketplace, resell data, or scrape web pages. It relies entirely on official, authorized APIs. [ 1 ] Because the rejection does not identify anything I can correct, could a Developer Support team member please manually review my existing registration or advise what additional information I can provide? I would prefer to resolve the existing registration rather than create duplicate Developer accounts. Thank you for your assistance. Scott August 12, 2026
