System error allows 3 buyers for a single listed item. One canceled order left a negative review. EBAY- denied my request for removal because I canceled the order not the buyer, even though that's what I was informed to do by the EBAY help chat.

I've been an ebay member and buyer since 2005. Less than two weeks ago, I started selling my old collectibles on ebay. I made over 40 sales and everything was going smooth. Then, I listed a single item last Friday and when I woke up, I had 3 different buyers who had bought and paid for the item. I double checked the listing and it was listed as a quantity of 1. Through the help chat and articles it said I had to cancel the extra orders. I canceled two of the orders and explained what happened. One of them who is a reseller, left me negative feedback after I explained. I sent him screenshots verifying everything and asked that he take down his review. He hasn't responded and ebay denied my request for the removal of the negative feedback because I was the one who canceled the order and not the buyer, even though that's exactly what I was informed to do from the same help chat. My rating went from 100% to 83%. Any other sellers ever experience anything like this? Any suggestions beyond contacting the buyer again and requesting removal? Thanks in advance.

      Looking

Is there some where here on eBay I can find a buyer without me listing? I'm willing to provide years of stuff for a $1 or a little more each item. So something like a supplier. I posted just a little while ago but then thought of this. If I make a $1 for everything I have I would be a millionaire and that would make my day :) Thoughts?

Could anyone suggest an effective Promoted Listings campaign strategy?

I currently do not have a structured advertising strategy. I am running only one campaign with all of my listings included. While I am getting impressions consistently, the sales are not improving. Could someone recommend a more effective campaign strategy? I would appreciate advice on how to organize campaigns, set ad rates, group listings, and optimize performance to improve conversions and increase sales rather than just generating impressions.

Navigating Online Marketplaces: Sharing Experiences and Solutions

Many of us have turned to online marketplaces like eBay for purchasing unique or hard-to-find items. However, experiences can vary widely, and encountering fraudulent sellers is unfortunately not uncommon. Imagine you purchased a waxed jacket from a seller who claimed it was a Barbour brand , but upon receiving it, realized it was a cheap knockoff . After trying to resolve this through eBay's resolution center, you find yourself in a situation where the platform denies your claim, especially after you sought help from your credit card company. Discussion Points: Have you ever faced a similar situation when purchasing items online? How did you handle it? What steps do you believe should be taken when you receive a counterfeit item? Should the approach differ between contacting the online platform and your credit card company? What improvements would you suggest for online marketplaces to better handle such disputes? How can buyers protect themselves from scams and ensure that the items they purchase are authentic? Share your stories and advice, and let’s collectively brainstorm ways to enhance our online shopping experiences!

How to get an unfair negative feedback score removed?

Hello,   Recently I had a buyer purchase a jersey from me that they ended up being unhappy with. They called me a scammer & other not so nice things so instead of fighting a headache I just initiated a return. After I accepted the return, I tried to get more information from the buyer as to what about the item didn't match the description. They would not answer and instead continued their name calling. They returned the same item....but in a clear plastic bag that had holes in it. Then they left a nasty review with a negative feedback score.   So I have tried going through eBay support multiple ways but all they would do was remove the buyer's comments....which removed my comment to their feedback as well. They keep refusing to remove the score itself because it's a "reflection of the buyer's experience." In what way is that fair to a seller when I didn't do anything wrong? When asked why they were not happy with the item, the buyer deflected and never answered. They received their money back. To me this feels like buyer's remorse. Does anyone have any tips on how to get this score removed or who to contact? This is such garbage that buyers can pull this crap with out and repercussion. Thank you!

Returns for buyer files SNAD after using Freight Forwarder

I sold an expensive brand new phone on eBay and sent it to the buyers freight address, which was signed for and delivered. The buyer opened a SNAD saying the phone was defective and when I followed up asking what was wrong, the buyer never responded.   I called eBay 2 days ago, and was told to wait for the buyer to respond today, and if not, since the buyer used a freight forwarder, this would not be covered by eBay's MBG, and would follow up today in order to get this case closed, and was told NOT to provide a return label.   I called today, and got an incredibly rude customer support representative who was contradicted everything the last phone rep said and told me to provide the label, which I now have accepted, despite the fact that eBay's own website clearly states on their MBG page:   The item was collected by a third party on behalf of the buyer Not covered ..... The item was sent to another address after original delivery Covered: The item was forwarded as part of an eBay program such as: Global Shipping Program eBay International Shipping eBay international standard delivery eBay Authenticity Guarantee Not covered: The buyer used third-party freight forwarding or mail redirection https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy?id=4210   I've also referred to: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Buyer-Using-Freight-Forwarder-Filed-a-SNAD/td-p/31996677   Why doesn't eBay have any set rules and arbitrarily just makes them up?   Has anyone had recent returns like these? How is the buyer going to mail back an item when they used a freight forwarder?

"Buyer wants to shop more."? Ohhh, eBay. Such a comedian these days. Wow.

Um, yea.  Oh, hey there lil' seller.  My buyer wants to shop a little more, umm, k?  Only 7 days or so.  OK, thanks Seller.   - the worlds BIGGEST marketplace even the way it's written says 'eBay snotty'. "Buyer wants to shop morrrrre". OK there, eBay. Wow   Buyer won an auction.  Apparently some 'beta' program that who/when/why/how guy, buyer, scammer was opted into has reared it's ugly head again and I'm the lucky seller this time around?  Yea baby.   Can someone please enlighten me on this.  Small sale, but wow eBay, wow.  Just more stand up comedy from the 'world's largest marketplace'.  Unreal.     This is the 2nd time I've seen this.  First time around, the buyer didn't pay (yep, after 7 days).  Had to re-auction the item and it sold for over 25% less - just a mere ~$45 ish loss 15 days later.  Oh, and yea - unable to leave the a buyer negative feedback - that's right.     Someone has got to start getting this stuff out on X or find a fun, creative way to have a good time with this comical nonsense.  Borderline criminal.. definitely disrespectful, yet again.   Please, can someone please enlighten me?  Perhaps, not with the token corporate pompom's?  Day after day, after day...  selling on here just keeps getting more and more bizarre.     Buyer wants to shop more lol.  Wow.

Why Am I Being Sent to Collections??

Hi everyone. I had some difficult issues with a buyer the beginning of the year. She falsely claimed to not have received an item and I won the appeal. The issue went back and forth and she eventually filed a chargeback. I filed a claim with my bank and they protected me from the chargeback. Fast forward to today, eBay has sent me a few emails regarding a balance I have to pay to Global Collections. I’ve ignored them as I know I did nothing wrong in this situation and I am a victim to fraud. I’ve just received a email that they will progress the situation and send it to a debt collector. At this point, I have no idea what there is left do. Is there any contact information or a routine process  that I should go about? I’ve won every appeal and my bank has protected me but yet they want to send me to collections rather than the fraudulent buyer. Any advice or contact information would be extremely appreciated.

UPS insurance claim denied since buyer refused to have item inspected 09/20/2025

The buyer claimed that the item was damaged upon delivery. I asked for pictures, but the buyer is not responding. I opened a damage claim with UPS, and the buyer refused to give the monitor to the UPS driver. eBay closed this claim in the buyer's favor, claiming the buyer "The buyer claimed that the item didn't match the description," that is FALSE! The buyer opened a "damaged item" claim. Why isn't eBay helping sellers? You are helping this buyer steal $541.68 from me! The buyer still has the monitor and refuses to give it to UPS for the insurance investigation; they refused to provide photos of the damaged box, and they refuse to respond at all now that eBay gave them a refund. They refuse to send the item back to me for the return request; eBay is assisting in a theft. Why isn't eBay giving me my seller Protections? Why is eBay protecting the buyer and not me?  Now, I have no product and I'm out of pocket thanks to eBay " Your order earnings after applying fees and other selling costs.  -$138.74" This shouldn't be allowed, how can eBay do this to sellers and get away with it?
