Hello, I sold a CGC ASM #5 (1963) 3.5 UK variant last weekend for $1300. The buyer was given a $400 discount from the original price of $1700 as well. As soon as he received it, he automatically submitted a return for "not as described". Since we had good conversation prior to the sale, I messaged him if this might have been a mistake, as the book is professionally graded, and there is no way it could be anything other than it was described. He finally sent some photos. Nothing was wrong with the CGC case (or book). He took some photos of the book within the case. I messaged him again, asking what the photos represented, and have not received any return messages. I believe this is a case of buyer's remorse, and I don't have any issue in refunding the item once returned. What I do have an issue with, is that the shipping costs add up, and I don't want to be held accountable paying for return shipping, as well as the initial shipping cost, because he claims "item not as described". Priority shipping, added insurance, signature confirmation, as well as shipping supplies add up. I only have a day or 2 to send him a return label. How can I avoid paying back the shipping costs?
