Overcharged for Ebay calculated Shipping

2 Lbs. 6 x6 x5 package shipped to Eagke River Alaska. Calculated price $11.84. Back charged for shipping $33.81. total shipping I was charged $45.64. I have yet to receive information from EBay regarding this situation. Anyone? I am now suspicious of a scam going on within EBay.

Should sellers be allowed to overcharge postage

I understand that winning an auction requires payment, and it's my fault for misreading what he wrote. When I looked at the ad, I thought it said "free shipping," but it actually said, "free returns." I would not have bid on a penny, knowing the shipping was $4.65. That's a good way for the seller to pocket extra cash. I called eBay and was told I had to pay what he wanted, and I am refusing to pay $4.65 to have a penny mailed to me. I have been selling on eBay for over 17 years and have never had to go through this. eBay is making all these rules regarding ads when a person is selling money. I think eBay should also look at how much a seller is charging for shipping and make it mandatory that when they are selling coins, the seller writes the measurements of what they are putting the coin(s) in, and make it mandatory, not just optional. Or have envelopes that are premade just for coins. I just wanted to share this with you because

Calculated First Class International Shipping Is about Half What USPS says

Hi, I am trying to use calculated international shipping for a DVDs, a 4 ounce item. When I created a domestic flat, international calculated eBay shipping policy, the quote to Sweden on a test item is $8.71, including a small handling fee . This is NOT my experience with international rates via eBay or Stamps.com. I checked against USPS Click 'n Shiip.
