Reversing Account from Business to Personal

So for over a year plus now Ebay has been holding funds from items sold, this is due to my accidental switch from personal to business status on my seller profile which Ebay was more or less pressuring me into by threatening to revoke my selling privileges due to low performance or something ridiculous. I spoke with an agent about this over a year ago and was told there was nothing that could be done about reversing my account and I should be glad my funds were only 15 bucks and not significantly higher because without uploading a business license which I dont possess as I'm strictly an amateur seller, that accessing those funds for payout or purchase will be impossible. Basically cut my losses and start a new account. Im finally trying to sort this out once and for all as Ebay wont even allow me to use the funds towards a purchase. Has anyone remotely faced or heard of anyone dealing with this very specific and unique situation? I could use some help to try and resolve this before pursuing this through legal means, which are probono incase anyone wants to balk at the cost of legal fees versus the amount of funds I'm being denied. lowo_85 lowo_85 OP

      Order didn’t arrive

My order says that it was delivered on Saturday, August 1, and the tracking information says that it was delivered to a mailbox. I don’t have a mailbox, and neither do my neighbors. I already reported it to the seller, but they said they won’t help me and that I have to talk to eBay. eBay isn’t helping me either, and I don’t know what to do. I have videos of my front door showing that nobody showed up on Saturday or the following days, and it was almost a $100 purchase.

Policy adjustment unfair to both merchants and buyers

Recently, eBay instituted a new policy affecting merchants of fragrances and Vintage perfumes that is harmful to both buyers and sellers. This policy is restrictive. It says it is a "policy violation" to have low-fill bottles, which are still unopened and in new condition; eBay sanctions the sellers for having "non-full" bottles and restricts the buyers' choices. For collectors of rare fragrances, this is a travesty and is just plain wrong. Apparently, this was done because a user complained. If the seller lists the bottle as NEW, has pics of the unopened bottle, and describes it as a "low fill", there is not a reasonable issue. Sometimes a low fill can even come from a manufacturer. I know this because I am a perfume collector. This is an example of everyone being affected because a person complained. It's also true that spray bottles that have a non-removable spray attachment should be able to be sold as "Used", becuase the product can not be adulterated. It would behoove eBay to remember that there are other sites out there with less restrictive policies; both merchants and buyers can "vote with their feet", and eBay is likely to lose business (as well as anger customers) with this policy. This policy needs to be reversed.

I have a tax exempt number. Why won't they accept it? Anyone?

Navigating Online Marketplaces: Sharing Experiences and Solutions

Many of us have turned to online marketplaces like eBay for purchasing unique or hard-to-find items. However, experiences can vary widely, and encountering fraudulent sellers is unfortunately not uncommon. Imagine you purchased a waxed jacket from a seller who claimed it was a Barbour brand , but upon receiving it, realized it was a cheap knockoff . After trying to resolve this through eBay's resolution center, you find yourself in a situation where the platform denies your claim, especially after you sought help from your credit card company. Discussion Points: Have you ever faced a similar situation when purchasing items online? How did you handle it? What steps do you believe should be taken when you receive a counterfeit item? Should the approach differ between contacting the online platform and your credit card company? What improvements would you suggest for online marketplaces to better handle such disputes? How can buyers protect themselves from scams and ensure that the items they purchase are authentic? Share your stories and advice, and let’s collectively brainstorm ways to enhance our online shopping experiences!

Shipping Business Policies - Can I cancel

Help -Listed to an ebay podcast that talked about setting up shipping business policies for my store.  Tried a few and then realized all of my listings got changed.  Also it seems I lost multiple shipping options that I often had for listings. Made a huge error I want to opt out of this - is it possible?  And is there any way to get back my old shipping rates that were listed?
