Bidding screen automatically closes before being able to bid...?

I've never posted here, but wanted to know if this is happening to just me. Anybody else experience the bidding "box" automatically and quickly closing when trying to place a bid and before being able to enter a bid? I've been a member here for more than 2 decades and this has been happening to me lately. It's VERY frustrating to watch an item for a week, planning on bidding in the last 10 seconds only to not be able to bid. Sellers should know this is happening as they are losing money. Most of the time I would have bid much higher than the item sold for.....?

      "New" Phone scams

I have bought 3 phones from 3 separate sellers that claimed the phones were new. All very reputable sellers with very high ratings. All three phones had non original displays. The displays were sluggish and had thick bezels. List of phones below.    Samsung S22 Ultra Samsung S22+  Samsung s23+   I had never had this issue before on eBay I have bought so many phones and never had this happened. Is there anything eBay can do about this other than refunds?

Seller has not responded to request for combined shipping yet.

Hi!  Seller has not responded to my request for combined shipping on my three items. I am concerned eBay will remove my 3 items from me if Seller has not responded with a combined shipping invoice and it is past 4 days after the auction. Will that happen because I do want to purchase all three items?  Thanks! 🌞

Why are the Japanese seller in Europe only Ebay?

I find it incomprensible that any organisation that is involved in international/cross border trade doesn't want to implment some sort of region control. Maybe, it is the U.S. roots of ebay that is responsible as in World Serries competitions that only involves one country; the U.S.A. But  not just the members of the board, at least some of the middle manager of a large company like ebay must surely have used passports and are aware that people buy and sell things outside of the U.S. and they must be aware that boarders matter in International trade. I have been searching for ways of filtering on the basis of geography but the engine seems to be prepared to do anything to avoid it. You can't even sort on the basis of region  that to me sounds crazy. I used to live in the UK where ebay.co.uk was massive and you could get anthing from anywhere without having to deal with another country or even pay for the shipping. Unfortunately, Brexit came along and totally messed that up. Since I left and live in continental Europe, I have found out that importing anything from outside of the zone is a nightmare. After all the EU is a regulatary super power. So, please correct me if I am wrong but an ebay.eu is just common sense as somewhere you would go and only see EU sellers. After all if you don't mind cross boarder trade why even visit ebay.eu. Ebay.com with be just as good ESPECIALLY if there was a strong, rgiourusly controlled region filter. But there is hardy any such filter and if there is you can hardly find it and if you do, it seems to insist on not working. It keeps comming up with sellers outside of EU, as if trying to tempt you like a female hitchhiker on the road when there were any of them. It keeps showing me sellers from Japan!!!. That sellers shoudn't even be there. At most the query should lead to a link to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk or ebay in Katmandu. It really doesn't matter as long as it isn't inside the EU. Even near me sorting shows up with Chinese sellers on the top. So, I would like to know why? Why there isn't a more rigorous control. Are the sellers finding ways around it for advertising sake or it is Ebay's laiser fair attitude. There is definately a need for EU only seller along with a special course for Ebay seller in EU that ironically should be thaught by a British. May be the Europen sellers are not as clever as the British and they should be encouraged to learn. Before, Brexit you could get anything on ebay.co.uk for free deiverly. It might be coming from China but the paper work and the extra shipping cost didn't figure into it. The only difference was that you had to wait a little longer but you would get your money back either through ebay or as part of the consumer protection act  available to you locally in the U.K. That was the best thing about the U.K. and they went and destroyed it.   Surely just the number of failed searches is an indicator of demand that in turn could ask for different solutions. I mean not everyone needsa subsidury or a branch. Sometime once a month trip to the source could be enough to meet the demand. But first there needs to be a way to filter regions properly.

Ebay search engine algorithm changed to be too general: PLEASE COMPLAIN ABOUT IT!

Some time during the past week or so eBay has changed its search engine algorithm so that anyone searching for a specific item will get hundreds of results instead of the few that actually apply. This has the result of frustrating potential buyers and harming both sellers and buyers.   For example a search for "November 1977 Byte Magazine" yields 326 results and the only way you can pare it down is to use the left side categories. Many buyers will not have the patience or skill to do this and will give up instead of being able to compare price and condition and make a purchase.   Worse, the results are not even close to what someone is looking for: Different years, different titles, some things that are not even magazines!   A week ago you would have simply gotten the 5 relevant results you needed.   Another example: 1958 Pennsylvania Railroad Brochure now yields an incredible 211 results, 99% of which are not from that year.   Why would anyone think this is a better way to do search? Please complain as the only way to get this changed back is to make your voices heard in large numbers!
