TACTICS USED by Ebay employees SABOTAGING seller account. +CENSORING COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS

SABOTAGE BY EBAY INTERNAL WORKERS: EBAY KNOWS 99% OF MY SALES ARE VIA SEND OFFER BUTTON SALES . THEY KEEP ALL THE METICULOUS AD NAUSEAM STATS. EBAY NOW HAS DISABLED OR RENDERED HAPHAZARD, THE SEND OFFER BUTTON TO A SPECIFIC BUYER THAT BUYS 95% OF MY ITEMS ,  IN RETALIATION FOR FILING BBB COMPLAINTS AND COMPLAINTS TO EBAY FOR NOT RESOLVING MOST ANY ISSUES. *THE BUYER HAS CONFIRMED HE CAN RECEIVE OFFERS FROM ALL OTHER SELLERS. *I CAN CONFIRM BEING ABLE TO SEND OFFERS TO ALL OTHER BUYERS. *IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH BROWSER OR DEVICE I USE, IT HAPPENS ON MOST ALL OF THEM. $2,500 A MONTH TO $0. Ebay is destroying my small business that has taken me 16+ years to build.  thru numerous technical glitches that are intentional as a response to my numerous BBB complaints about problems with my account.  I cannot now "Send Offers" to my best buyer, as the ebay "SEND OFFER" button is disabled and removed,  or the other workaround button that I can go to says the items are ineligible to receive offers, even though the items are being watched or in someone's cart. This is causing me 10s of 1000s of dollars in financial loses. OTHER EBAY TAMPERING WITH MY ACCOUNT: *I have randomly been stopped from emailing ebay's  customerhelp@ebay.com  email address. Before ebay would respond. *I have been blocked randomly from being able to receive phone calls by ebay. *I have had listings in my scheduled listings area spontaneously been listed in mass without my authorization, before  they were scheduled to be listed. *I have had scheduled payments blocked randomly until regular customers receive the items. *I am being asked to constantly confirm and verify my account every time I log in. No amount of complaints to Ebay for 6 months+ since December 2025 have resulted in a permanent repair of the problems. The more I complain, the more other mysterious glitches like the above named items happen. The techo-harassment of me a seller that puts money into Ebay's coffers is unacceptable. The platform does not have to  buy items to sell, then store and care for them, then buy cameras to photograph them, then upload them to a computer that I must buy, then edit the pictures and add listing descriptions, then buy packaging materials and then ship them FOR EVERY ITEM. Ebay sits back and collect money while 99% of the work is it's sellers.

New EU customs duty now in effect for low-value imports

Starting July 1, 2026, the European Union is introducing a new customs duty of €3 on imported items valued under €150. To help ensure a smooth buying and selling experience, eBay has updated its import fee experience for eligible transactions and will continue to support cross-border trade into the EU. What this means for sellers  Due to these changes in EU customs requirements, USPS label purchases on eBay are temporarily unavailable for shipment to the EU. Sellers should purchase their shipping label directly from their carrier to complete their shipment. For sellers using eBay International Shipping (eIS), applicable import fees, including any customs duties, will continue to be handled as part of the program. Buyers will pay applicable import fees at checkout and should not be charged additional import fees at delivery. For sellers using their own shipping methods, carriers may collect applicable import fees as part of the import process. Some carriers may begin requiring duties-prepaid shipping, also known as Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), into the EU for certain services or destinations. Sellers should check with their shipping provider regarding any new EU requirements, and review their pricing and shipping arrangements, as appropriate. What this means for buyers For items shipped through eBay International Shipping (eIS), applicable import fees will be shown at checkout and buyers should not be charged additional import fees at delivery. For items shipped using a seller's own shipping method, carriers may collect applicable import fees as part of the import process. Depending on the shipping service used, buyers may be contacted by the carrier about applicable import fees before delivery. Delivery times may also be longer than usual during the initial implementation period as carriers and customs authorities adjust to the new requirements. What’s next? We will continue to monitor the implementation of the new EU requirements and provide updates as additional guidance becomes available. We encourage sellers to check back regularly for the latest information. As always, our goal is to make international trade as simple as possible. Please note that the €3 customs duty applies per unique item under the applicable EU customs rules. For more information, see the European Commission’s guidance page . Thank you for being part of the eBay community.

Warning!! Don't use the $50 Coupon in an offer! And forget about getting help if you do!!

Hi all. Just thought I would send out a note to warn everyone about a situation that happened to me today.    I had a $50 coupon from eBay that was going to expire on 5/12 so I decided to treat myself to a purchase for something I've been looking to get for a long time. I found an item I wanted and put in an offer for it that was just a little lower then the Buy It Now price - the system allowed for me to put in the redemption code for the $50 coupon as a part of the offer, acknowledging that if the offer was accepted, I would be paying $50 less for the item.    Lo and behold, the seller graciously accepted the offer and the FULL AMOUNT was charged  - the $50 off coupon was not applied. I contacted eBay support to request a refund of the $50 that was supposed to be applied and their solution for me was to contact the seller to ask them to cancel the order and to have them relist the item for me to purchase it via Buy It Now. They admitted that the issue was THEIR fault but that was their solution. I didn't feel that it was right to have another seller go through all of that process for this when it was admittedly eBay's fault.    I went through another layer of management (supposedly - could have just been the guy sitting next to him) and was told that it was definitely their fault that it shouldn't have allowed me to use the coupon but that even though it was their fault, they couldn't do a refund (which I'm sure they could). Basically, their suggestion to me was to "be more careful" not to attempt to use the coupon on anything that isn't a Buy It Now. Basically anything with Auto-Pay like an auction or offer.  And of course, by the time I had complained to a point of no resolution with eBay, the item was marked as shipped so it could no longer be cancelled. Upon telling eBay that, their response was basically that if he hasn't physically shipped the item (i.e., took the box to USPS), they could still cancel it. Really?? That's your solution? To inconvenience another seller on the platform because you guys made a mistake??   So I'm just putting this out there to warn others and to publicly comment on how poor my customer service experience was with eBay. I've been on this platform for over 25 years now - I'm not a major seller or buyer but I've been loyal to eBay for that long. I'll think twice now about either buying or selling on this service from now on - even Facebook Marketplace is starting to be more appealing.

EU Right to Repair Directive: What business sellers need to know

If you sell goods to customers in the EU, you may need to update your repair information and buyer communications to comply with new EU Right to Repair rules. Starting July 31, 2026, when a EU buyer contacts you about a faulty item and asks for a remedy, you must offer a choice of repair or replacement. If they choose a repair, your warranty period is extended by 12 months. This applies to all general goods. What you need to do For general goods: If you are a business seller offering goods to buyers in the EU, and a EU buyer invokes their statutory rights during the warranty period, you have the following responsibilities: If an item is reported as faulty or not as described, you must offer the buyer a choice between repair or replacement. If a buyer chooses a repair, the warranty period for the item is extended by an additional 12 months. You must also inform the buyer of this extension before you conduct a repair. We recommend reviewing and updating your warranty processes and all published policies to reflect this. Purchases made before July 31, 2026 are not subject to these requirements. Additional requirements for certain products listed in Annex II: For certain products, in the categories listed in Annex II of the Directive - including washing machines, washer-dryers, fridges, dishwashers, TVs, vacuum cleaners, tumble dryers, welding equipment, smartphones, tablets, cordless phones, servers and data storage products, and products that include batteries for light electric vehicles (such as e-bikes, e-scooters, and similar devices) - additional requirements may apply. These requirements apply if you are the EU-based manufacturer. If the manufacturer is outside the EU, someone in the EU must take over its repair obligation. This will be the manufacturer’s EU authorized representative, or if there is none, the importer, or if there is no importer, the distributor. For goods listed in Annex II Check the EU Ecodesign rules for your products to understand which spare parts, repair information, and services you must offer, and how long they must remain available. Offer repair services for the duration of your repair obligation. On eBay, publish repair information, including details about coverage, repair options, and typical repair prices. You can make this information available through seller notes, the item description field, and/or the order confirmation email. If Annex II repair obligations don’t apply to you, you may still want to help your buyers by informing them who they should contact for a repair. Thank you for selling on eBay.

      Got Scammed by the seller!

Hello! I bought a MSI monitor from this seller  https://www.ebay.com/itm/397021003343 .  The listing shows 8 positive reviews and I thought this is a legit listing and made the purchase. The next day I saw a same listing  https://www.ebay.com/itm/357602249903  with different seller name and it had same reviews. Then I realized the listing is fake and immediately tried to cancel the order, but the seller immediately shipped the item to avoid the cancellation. Now the package shows delivered to random person. Ebay closed the case stating the seller showed the proof of delivery. Please help me on how to address this issue. The ironic thing is that I reported the new fake listing and eBay says it is legit. The fake listing is still online waiting for another one to get scammed. Please help me on how to resolve this issue. Thankyou!

      Edit Listing HELP!!

Hi everyone, I have a multiple-quantity Buy It Now listing that already has views, watchers, and one purchase. I want to update the title and description, but eBay won’t let me edit them right now.   Does anyone know when I’ll be able to make changes to the listing without having to end it? I just need to add a small update to the title and description, and I don’t want to lose the watchers or momentum on the listing.   Thanks in advance for the help!
