Why I Still Love Collecting Cards

For me, collecting has never just been about what a card is worth. Some of my favorite cards aren't the most expensive ones—they're the ones with a great player, a great design, some history, or just something about them that makes you want to keep them.
That's part of why I started DJM's Hot Corner. I'm getting back into collecting and selling, and I wanted to build a store around cards that are actually fun to own rather than treating every card like an investment.
I even have Dizzy the Dinosaur helping out with the store. He gives cards a 1–5 rating based on overall collector appeal—not condition or dollar value—and usually has something to say about them.
I'm curious what everyone else thinks: What's a card in your collection that you love even though it isn't necessarily your most valuable card?

·1 week ago · EditedI don't collect cards but I totally understand. I collect old knives, daggers, bayonets and tableware among other things.
Some of my favorites aren't nearly as valuable as some of the others but something about them. Something about using a 100yr+ knife or eating dinner with an old stag handled handmade place setting.............................
