eBay Postage
I have purchased sports cards from numerous sellers on eBay, and many have come in an envelope inside a top loader wrapped in bubble wrap, paper, or card stock.
I started selling cards on eBay about 4 months ago and have used eBay postage with no problems except for the last month. I was sticking the top-loaded card wrapped with bubble wrap in an envelope, then my local PO started sending them back stating they were too thick. So, I stopped using bubble wrap and started using cardstock around the top-loaded card. This worked for about 2 weeks, then yesterday after dropping off over 20 envelopes, they returned them all to me stating they were too rigid and non-machinable and needed an extra 39¢ postage.
Does anyone else have this problem? I receive cards all the time I've purchased from eBay sellers all packaged the same way I've described above. Why can they send them and I cannot? And what should I do?

·3 years agoThe same thing happened to me a few years back, and a handful of PWEs were returned since they were rigid and did not have the additional one-ounce stamp. As of now, it costs $.87 to ship a PWE. Read that USPS will increase stamp prices twice a year.
With the combined cost of sleeves, top loaders, envelopes, postage, eBay fees and cost or card, tough to make any $ on low end cards unless sold at $2.50 or more.
