Came across these ridiculously priced baseball cards, most from junk wax era, what is going on??
Good evening, I had to say something about this, it's driving me nuts lol. Below are examples of junk wax era baseball cards that someone is miraculously determined to be the ultimate "error" card. Something just seems really off. These prices are just insane. And I'm noticing these sellers are different but seem to be using a generic description, possibly created by AI? My mind is wandering about other reasons why these cards would be so high, but I will not say. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I've seen sellers try to create their own errors but selling them for thousands of dollars, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's highly, highly odd, just saying.

I find it "interesting" that these cards are marked "Authenticity Guarantee," but also "The card is ungraded and has not been evaluated in terms of its condition."
And there is no such animal as a "one of a kind baseball error card" -- unless the Donruss company deliberately shut off the printing presses after producing one single card.
Which is highly improbable.
No doubt a frustrated Beanie Baby collector, gone berserk.

OP1 year agoHahaha...thanks for the reply! Yeah, I can't figure it out, I have my suspicions, but Ebay is not much help so not sure where I can go with this. I seem to notice out of place things like this. Like yesterday, during my course of work I noticed a sketchy guy loitering around the home I was inspecting. He disappeared when I was done and I found him down the street at a nearby park. The neighborhood is very sketchy as well. I had to use the restrooms at the park and I see this guy hanging around the park. He was first using the park bathrooms then exited and was standing around like he was waiting for someone. I see a homeless female walk by, don't pay much attention to her, normal thing to see in Tucson. This guy has my radar up so I return to the home I was just inspecting and I'm waiting in the driveway. This guy comes back to the neighborhood with the homeless female following him. They are both canvassing the ground with their eyes as they walk ALL the way around to the sidewalk. I see this guy and girl go to the side of a house and he's going through her bag on the side of the house, he later walks to the front door of the house and out of view. I'm like **bleep** is going on? Does he live there? Is he breaking into the house? I can't do anything because I have to work. It's just weird things like this I notice. LOL

OP1 year agoUpdate: I reported the 1990 Ken Griffey Jr. to Ebay but they didn't find anything wrong with it.
