All my items listed prior to today allowed for USPS shipping but items I tried to list today did not and the prices for Fed Ex and UPS were outrageous.
I always select standard shipping as well but USPS shipping was not even an option for a shipping method. It appears this issue only affects certain categories as others I list in don't have this problem.
@gundy Last listings were this AM about 0600 CDT. But I don't understand why you even look for USPS shipping when generating a listing.
When I create listings I do not have to select a specific shipping method. All of my shipping policies are standard without a selected method.
By the way. I use a flat rate for shipping. I've been selling long enough to have a good feel what and how things should be shipped all over this country. Maybe that's why I don't have to worry about shipping method.
I have been selling on eBay for over 28 years so am very familiar with the shipping process. I always select the method and cost that is most economical for my buyers. It does depend on what types of items you are selling.
You can select "standard shipping" but you still have to enter the weight and dimensions of your item and select the "cost type" and/or a "primary service" (the latter of which if even using flat rate shipping, which again depends on what you are selling).
@gundy Have to disagree with you. I do NOT have to enter weight or dimension nor cost type nor primary service.
The categories I primarily list in are toys of various types and books.
Obviously we are doing things differently. But you do NOT HAVE to do things the way you are doing them nor do I have to do them my way. It is a choice. My way involves the minimum of work and allows flexibility when it comes to shipping.
As you can see we both have about the same amount of feedback and have been on ebay about the same amount of time.

·2 weeks agoI don't specify which shipping service when I list. My listings just state standard shipping so I can choose which service to use on each sale.
