Signature on baseball
I got this baseball in a box at auction. I am not a sports expert so I don't know who this is. Google lens couldn't tell either. Maybe someone here will know? Thanks for any help.

·1 month agoNormally a single signature or a team manager's signature goes horizontally across the narrowest distance between the seams. - this signature looks like it was placed by someone who didn't know that.
Al Kaline comes to mind, and you'll have to see if you can find some signatures to compare it with, - Kaline was a Hall of Fame Player (22 years with the Detroit Tigers) and would know where a ball was traditionally signed.

·1 month agoIs there anything visible elsewhere on that baseball that you can photograph? That may help date the ball or provide some other useful information about it to use in identifying the signature.

OP1 month agoNothing else on the ball at all. I'm sure this is a long shot, but I had to try.
