Best way to maintain gaming controllers and accessories for long-term use?
I’m trying to understand how experienced sellers or users take care of gaming controllers and handheld accessories to make them last longer. Are there any common maintenance tips or habits that really help improve durability and performance over time?

·2 months agoAs has been mentioned, remove the batteries and keep from humidity and dust. I'll add it's probably a good idea to store in a place that doesn't experience temperature extremes.

If I'm selling, then once the photos are taken it goes into a self-seal bag to protect it from moisture. I then wrap a layer of 3/16" bubble around it twice. I toss on a SKU sticker and then it goes into the gaming bin in my garage where it stays until it is sold.
As @ryry-jj said, do remove any batteries. Especially if they are AA. Any alkaline battery can leak ('corrode'), but AAs are the only ones that have ever been a problem for me.
