I received an Amazon order for something I bought on eBay, which I do to support local businesses. I've spent thousands on eBay in the last three months. and avoid Amazon, but I was shocked to see an eBay seller advertising an item I could buy from Amazon for $7.00 less with free two-day shipping. There seems to be a policy against reselling from other retailers on eBay, but I can't find how to report this. Recent negative feedback indicates this seller has done this before. How can I report this and get the seller's account revoked? How did eBay even accept a tracking number from an Amazon network delivery parcel that arrived in an Amazon Van?

·2 months agoI wish eBay would take more of an approach to let us know the shippers are from Amazon. I don't want to report people. I don't want to spend more time shopping. I want to shop on eBay and have it come from ebay and be that simple.

·2 months agoThere are many Ebay sellers, some based in the US and some from abroad who have learned a scheme promoted in some parts of social media to list items on Ebay at a higher price than Amazon offers and have the item drop shipped from some Amazon or Walmart seller or from Sam's Club or Costco.
The violate Ebay and Amazon policies. Amazon prohibits the use of a Prime Membership to fulfill orders.
The best way to report is an Item Not As Described Claim under the Ebay MBG. Reason might be this product is not New, because this is not the first retail sale. Or could also be "this item may be inauthentic".
Some buyers do not know what they should be paying for what they buy. Some buyers like the OP are avoiding Amazon but the can't.
Many Ebay sellers cannot source products through manufacturer authorized wholesale channels. The more well known the brand name, the greater the likelihood that they are sourcing via retail arb or liquidation channels.
Many products have manufacturer's warranties which are not valid when purchased from unauthorized sellers, and some of those manufacturers assume that items purchased through Ebay are not covered.
Ebay sellers used to sell a lot more "NEW" branded products than they do now, and Ebay has acknowledged the decrease in that business.
