Zip Code in Doral Florida
Have a item to ship to a Re-Shipper in Doral Florida.
XXXX NW 79th Ave Doral, FL 33198-6500
The address is not found with the same Zip Code.
The address is found but the Zip Codes changes to
XXXX NW 79th Ave, Doral, FL, 33122-1612
I do not find anything connecting the Zip Code the buyer provided listed anywhere.
The address lists a Cargo Company but with a different Zip Code and different plus 4 Zip.
Is it possible that two businesses at this warehouse would have two different Zip Codes?
I am worried that this may show delivery to a different Zip Code than provided and maybe a claim for item not received.

·9 months agoThere is known way for Doral that it will get delivered correctly but when the USPS delivers it the zip code will change to the correct zip which may differ allowing them to open INR and point that the zip doesnt match.
My way to resolve it is to use the UPS for Doral, that doesn't give the zip but the city name.

OP9 months agoExactly, this is the scam I have read about before. I even looked up the Zip Code Plus 4 on USPS.com. The zip code is listed but the Plus 4 is not listed. Maybe the USPS knows where to deliver but it will be shown as delivered to the other Zip Code.
The buyer told me either Zip Code will work so I asked them to change it to the default Zip and they did.

·9 months agoIt's been a few years, but I've shipped a couple packages there with the old zip code and everything went fine.

·9 months ago@kensgiftshop you are correct. That FF in Doral has an old zip code, I think from where Miami expanded? Something like that.
@stephenmorgan I would ship that thing right on out and not sweat it. I have shipped there several times. One time a package I shipped there never received a delivery scan. Buyer filed an INR. I refunded them and filed a claim with USPS. I got refunded by them no questions asked.
Once you get the item to the FF, you are off the hook as the MBG does not extend from the FF to the buyer.

·9 months agoLarge companies that ship a massive amount can get a unique zip code within another zip code. I believe this is the case for some **bleep** in OR and maybe DE as well as the Doral one. If there's an issue with a MBG claim that should be in your favor, the USPS should be able to tell you that it was delivered to a FF in the same way you can get proof of non delivery with the fake tracking scam.
I have never had a problem shipping to any FF, but I do get sig conf on anything over a few hundred dollars because of the delivery scan issue this causes.
ETA so apparently the forum lets you abbreviate "freight forwarder" as FF but you can't pluralize it.. LMFAO..
And yet I can use that SMH LOL...

If you are in doubt then cancel the transaction. Just know consequences can possibly follow if you cancel.

·9 months agoIf it's the one I'm thinking about, it's the same company with 2 zip codes at one time.
Don't remember the whole story, but one city expanded their city limits so the warehouse would be in their city limits.
They kept the same address, but had 2 different zip codes that could be used.

·9 months agoYou can always cancel the order with the reason "problem with buyer's address" since the zip code they gave does not match up properly with USPS.
However, I would not advise doing this unless it's a very expensive item and you have reason to believe the buyer is a scammer.

Item is going 'freight forward' to another country.
Buyer in his 'feedbacks' should show the country of buyer ID.
Never had a problem with freight forward but I do take a photo of package with postage and mail that to buyer and let buyer know I know it is going freight forward to (name of country)...and it will probably take another 2 weeks to receive.

OP9 months agoThis one does not. Shows he is in the US, but clearly his is not. I ask what country they are located in but they chose not to answer.
I have read before about things not showing delivery to the Zip Code listed and then a claim being made for item not received.
