I shipped sneakers to the UK and when I checked tracking it says:

Arrived at Consolidation Center. Shipment is being processed.

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139

Your shipment contains prohibited goods. You may request a return or it will be liquidated.

Your shipment is being returned due to issues encountered.

It would be helpful if ebay was more specific about why this is happening.

Do i need to contact ebay to find out why the sneakers are "prohibited goods"?

I’m a buyer in the uk and have just had the same message from the same distribution centre. Nothing in the package is prohibited, it’s a part of a camera flash and custom lightsaber parts.

did you get any more clarification on why the sneakers were deemed prohibited?

You need to contact customs & find out why it's prohibited. They declined your shipment because it's not legal to ship it.

Thanks all - yes they made it to authentication center and are now being returned to me.

Ebay says they will supply an explanation for why sneakers were deemed 'prohibitive goods' within 72 hours.

Let's see..

@exgirlfriendx I doubt you would be able to extract an explanation from eBay.
Just focus on getting your sneakers returned to you.

I've never seen that one before. Was it the Reebok Pumps? I wonder if 'prohibited' could be that they were a Sample?

I'm also a little confused by eBay's note... 1) You may request a return or it will be liquidated. -plus- 2) Your shipment is being returned due to issues encountered.

I'd be requesting that they sent my Sample pair back, if you can find a way. Quite perplexing...
