Your item says delivered but not there? Read this
I have encountered 2 scammers in the same week here on ebay. If it's happening to me I know it's happening to others as well. Here's how It goes;
-I order item from spammy looking but seemingly legit ebay seller
-the mark item shipped next day like normal
-item never moves only pre shipment info sent
- I file a case
- day after I filed a case right before ebay gets to step in (sellers ignore me) a new tracking number is magically uploaded and it says delivered!
How could this be I thought? My mail man don't even come the time of day it said delivered. And this is when I figured out it.
Tracking uploaded on 23rd item delivered on 22nd. They are uploading already delivered tracking numbers from your zip code. The post office will tell you that tracking number does not go to your address. Nothing was ever sent. They are just recycling tracking numbers they are obtaining somehow. Getting proof from the post office is hard because they are not allowed to give info out relating to tracking numbers address. What they can tell you is that # doesn't go to your address. Good luck with a refund all ebay does is look at it says delivered so your deemed a liar. I am trying to increase awareness of this fake tracking number problem.

Get a letter from them stating that the package with that tracking number was not addressed to, but in the same zip code.
Also file a police report.
Then use both of those to appeal the Ebay case.
