·6 months agoDevon,
I need your help. On January 25th, a Sunday and 26th, a Monday we had a major snowstorm (almost 2 Ft) in Central Massachusetts. I offer 1-day shipping and had orders from that Friday, the 23rd, Saturday, the 24th and Sunday, the 25th (8 Orders Total) that were scheduled to ship on Monday, the 26th. We were in a travel emergency and were not supposed to drive on either the 25th or 26th. We are a business and do all our work at our warehouse and there was no mail service.;
In any case, on Tuesday the 27th we shipped the orders. They have shown up on my tracking uploaded on time and validated report. I could not go to the warehouse on the 26th to package and print proper labels, we did so first thing on the 27th, our first day we could travel and they were picked up that day by the USPS.
I made 3 calls to eBay between that time and February 20th which is when I was told this would be resolved. It was not resolved and no one contacted me as to why.
The same situation presented itself on February 23rd, again almost 2 feet of snow. I had orders from Friday the 20th, Saturday, the 21st and Sunday the 22nd (13 total orders) We had travel emergency on the 22nd and 23rd and there was travel restrictions again as well as no mail service on the 23rd. We returned on the 24th and shipped all packages immediately and again these are still showing up on my tracking report and being held against me. I have spoken to 4 people since the 23rd through to today and it is still not resolved even though I was told, now 6 times, it would be resolved, there was just a backup.
Today, March 13th, I called again and was told the problem was I did not print out labels even though I could not ship on either January 26th or February 23rd. Again, I could not drive to our warehouse either day and it would be a waste of time to preprint labels before packing, sizing and weighing the orders properly. I was not told this is the reason there is an issue.
First of all, if that was the case, the three people I talked to about the January incident, and properly explained what was going on, poor training I would guess. If they had, I certainly would have treated the February Storm differently.
Second, it is ridiculous that you are holding printing labels for items you cannot ship due to snowstorms, weather advisories and no postal service. If this is your policy, it makes no sense and should be revised to cover real life situations.
Lastly, If your employees had properly handled the situation in January, February would have been handled differently by me and I would not have those late tracking dings.
I would like this resolved as on the 20th of March I go from Top Rated to Above Average due to this poor policy and poor training of your eBay Concierge Customer Service
Thank you in advance,

I would recommend extending your handling time a few days and/or putting your store into vacation mode. This way you are protected and gives you extra time to prepare orders for sellers in the effected areas.
