When do funds on hold get released when using ebay international shipping?
Is it when the item gets delivered to the ebay processing center or is it when it gets delivered to the buyer? My item was delivered to the ebay processing center and now I'm being told that I have to wait until the item gets delivered to the buyer before the funds are released. I contacted customer service and now I have to wait now 1 to 2 months depending on what goes on in customs at the buyers country before I get paid? That's way too long.

·3 years agoThe same as any domestic sale @alandutchschaefer which might be when item is delivered to the US address, or, for new sellers, might be as long as 30 days. Looks like you're a new seller and it's an $800 sale so the combination likely means a 30 day hold.
The fact that it's an EIS transaction does not impact the release of funds. The hold is based on other factors.

·2 years agoebay is getting far too controlling. They are treating sellers like they can't be trusted, and protecting buyers who are the one's most likely to abuse the system.
It's completely ridiculous that sellers should have payments put on HOLD, when ebay takes responsibility for delivery, after it's delivered to the HUB. If ebay takes over once an item is delivered to the HUB, then the payment should be released. Otherwise, what ebay claims as a benefit, is actually a penalty.
