What to do when buyer doesn't sign for package?
Shipped a package with signature. Buyer seemed ok with it coming from USPS or UPS so shipped USPS. Tracking shows note was left for buyer on May 21 but there has been no movement since. I have contacted buyer twice with no response. Is there anything I could do more? Will it be shipped back to me if buyer does not accept it? Thanks.

OP4 months agoThanks. The item was a little less than $750 so I did the signature but I can see how it may not be worth the possible trouble.

·4 months agoI don't see any items that sold for $750 (including shipping) so I'm not sure why you included signature confirmation.
When s.c. isn't required per ebay policy, you get no more protection against INR than you'd get with delivery confirmation. And to inconvenience a buyer unnecessarily is apt to tick them off.
I wouldn't contact the buyer further. They may have received the package and the post office just neglected to scan it as delivered.
Personally, I wouldn't waste my money or the buyer's time on s.c. when it's not required.

·4 months agoI sometimes have signature required with certified mail USPS.
Never ever had a buyer complain how anything is shipped.
I do a lot of priority mail as well.
As long as the buyer is emailed after it is shipped...they are usually thanking me.
And I do free shipping.
If it's a crazy address or a buyer who asked too many questions we sellers might require a signature.
We don't know the whole story sometimes when someone ask a buyer for a signature.
USPS makes it a little easier to ask questions related to any issues with shipping when you use it vs. a eBay shipping label.
A seller can actually go to a post office to inquire about an issue with a real person.
Kinda better than dealing with artificial intelligence of an issue with shipping.
Just my thoughts and didn't mean to rant on your post.
