What to do if I use a different return shipping label than the eBay label provided?
The Post office rejected my eBay provided return label saying the same package wasn’t eligible for the label class eBay provided. I then had to buy a different label direct from the Post Office. Now eBay has the wrong tracking number for the return, can’t see it was shipped back, and I can’t enter a new tracking number bc one is already in there.
How do I alert eBay of a new label and new tracking so they see it was mailed back within the return window?
How do I get back the money for the eBay label that won’t be used as that amount gets deducted from the return amount ?

·9 months agoSadly your postal worker was wrong. All returns go back '1st Class'; a deal made with USPS and Ebay years ago.
You are correct, tracking is now different and there will be NO proof that you sent the item back.
Hopefully your seller is honest.
Nothing more you can do.

Leave a PRIVATE MESSAGE here and give eBay your new return tracking number.

·9 months agoI can't answer your question directly other than to say that most sellers are honest and would refund you when the item was returned regardless of the tracking. I believe that if you don't use the eBay label you won't get charged for it. I am curious what the item was that the PO said the eBay label wasn't good enough for? Also, you probably paid more at the PO than the eBay label would have cost, you may have to contact customer service for that if so.
