What is the problem with York PA?
Many items ship to me rot for days in York, PA “waiting for pickup by USPS.†Which party is to blame? The cheap discount shipping so many sellers use, or is the problem with USPS which rates such shippers lower priority? It’s always been a problem whatever the weather. Items purchased from central China often reach the US northeast faster than items ordered from central US sellers.

·8 months agoAre you buying items from sellers who are using hybrid solutions that use UPS "SmartPost" or FedEx "Ground Economy" for the initial leg and USPS for the last mile? If they were sent from USPS for the whole journey, they should be scanned before reaching the customer's regional hub. (UPS and FedEx should still scan them and show them on the way to the USPS for final delivery, I don't know if others like Amazon Logistics scan them or not.)
If packages are being sent USPS the entire way (which is how most items are shipped when using USPS) and they not being scanned and processed at the hub in a timely way, they may be having operational problems. In the very least, they should be scanned at some point after delivery, not remain scanless for days.
If the hybrid solutions are the problems, try buying from a seller who uses USPS for the whole journey. It can help you to figure out if the originating third party is the problem, or the USPS hub.

·8 months agoIt's the USPS. There is a chance there is only so many people working at that location or there is high volume of stuff going through that location. The issue you are having will not change.
