We change the weight but price stays the same
Shipping three things today on one account - On one we cut down the box and got it under five pounds - changed weight and the price went down, like it should.
Then went to do second one - again we got the weight down to three instead of the four in the listing.
'Ship your order' page shows 4 pounds priority for $7.20
Then lower the weight to 3 pounds and price stayed the same
The price of ups also stays the same but ground adv changes.
Didn't take photos but the $7.20 is the priority price we're shown for two to five pounds.
ONLY when we set the weight at six pounds does the price increase to $7.88, and at one pound it's $7.04.
And that note telling you how much you saves changes each time.

The weight was 4 pounds in listing, and based on the two zips and the 'at the counter' amount the buyer paid, according to the PO calculator the four pounds for $7.20 is most likely correct. But as we said we can get it into a lighter package and do it for three pounds but still would be charged $7.20 - so would we get a refund for overweight?

·2 years agoIt's happened to me several times and I had one just this morning. So if my item is going to a nearby zone, I now check the costs before bothering to trim a flap.

·2 years agoThe prices that eBay charges for Priority Mail are lower than the published Commercial rates, yet nobody has produced a chart showing the exact prices.
A little exercise with eBay's shipping calculator reveals that the eBay postage cost to ship a package to Zone 2 via Priority Mail costs $7.04 for 1 pound, $7.20 for any weight from 2 to 5 pounds, and $7.88 for 6 pounds.
