Watch out Sellers for buyer scammers who state their item was NOT delivered!
Beware of buyers who purchase high priced items, then state their item did not arrive. USPS was marked DELIVERED, but they still put in a claim. Ebay held my funds (over $2,000). I had lots of legwork to do to prove he received the coins. He filed this on two separate occasions with high dollar gold coins. This guy is in San Gabriel CA, and lives in an apartment building with wall panel, locking mailboxes, so I knew he had to have received the packages (sent on two different days. I called the local post office and they absolutely knew they put the packages in his locking box. I'm not sure I put his user name, but I will try. We all know there are scammers out there...this was my first big hit. Anyone have any other scams being used?

·9 months agoIt sounds like the OP did not add signed delivery confirmation on the order. It is Required to prove deliver received for all sales over $750...and that is $750 including tax and delivery. Not having that would explain why you had a lot of leg work involved. Hopefully it was included

·9 months agoYou can't put his username in this community. You need to remove that. This is a common scam which is why it is recommended to limit the value of an item you sell. Mine is $500. It is a risk you as a seller are taking selling high end items. Now when you say "they still put in a claim" All you have to do is give Ebay the tracking number which states delivered and you win the case.

·9 months agoIf the order is $750+ and you have both confirmed delivery and signature confirmation to the address on the order, then there shouldn't be any work involved. The buyer files a claim, you enter tracking, and that's pretty much it. You don't need to contact the carrier or do anything else.
