Did you contact your buyer and ask what they want you to do? And maybe point out that they gave you a bad address? No, you are not required to refund the shipping because you already used those funds to ship the package to the address they gave.
That's what I'm trying to do but when I go to cancel the order and refund them it automatically includes the shipping cost.
You don't want to cancel the order. Just do a regular refund and you can set the amount.
To be clear though, eBay policy does not require you to refund anything when an item is RTS'd back to you for any reason. IMO you should not only be deducting the shipping cost, but all the fees, packaging, supplies and your time involved in dealing with it. I'd also block the person or you may end up doing this all over again.

·4 months agoNo, the shipping was used, so you only refund item price.
