USPS lost package and I'm stuck in phone prompt purgatory
9/19: Made purchase
9/20: Tracking posted
9/22: USPS in possession
9/24: Original estimated delivery date
9/26: USPS loses the package, have to wait before reporting item missing
9/27: Last tracking update, "In transit to next facility, arriving late"
10/1: Reported item missing
10/2: Seller reports the missing package to USPS
10/6: "USPS package research case closed"
10/7: Seller asked eBay to review the case
10/7: Ebay CS put the case on hold until Oct 17 because "Tracking shows the item is currently on it's way to you. You should receive it soon."
I can't appeal the decision, I can't contact CS, the automated chat just tells me how to file a case. This really sucks because I need to purchase a replacement item that will cost me $50 more than the one USPS lost. This would be a 5 minute call with CS, but here I am trying to post this to a forum that has no power. This is the reason why I stopped selling on eBay.

·11 months agoI would suggest waiting longer. Keep in mind delivery time varies. I've had packages in transit for 3-4 weeks domestically.

·11 months agoWhat makes you think the package is lost? simply because it has not updated could mean it is stuck somewhere, typical usps screwup's are 30-35 days, when that happens nothing that can be done but wait it out. last year and the year before this was happening much more often this year not so much.
usps actually loosing a package is super rare.
