·4 months ago"Temporary"? I don't think so... and at 8%! That's ridiculous! Has anyone ever seen the USPS lower their prices? If they revert to pre-April 26, 2026 prices, on January 17, 2027, it will be a first in USPS history.
USPS doesn't provide an explanation about WHY and HOW they've determined that the magic date to end their temporary increase will be January 17, 2027.
Rather than come right out and say: "The unjustified war in Iran has affected every aspect of the economy". They attribute the increase transportation costs "to better align with market conditions and manage increased fuel expenses".
This is going to have a negative impact for on all eBay seller's revenues, especially during the holiday shopping season. I can see Amazon's Prime memberships (free shipping for every order) exploding over this USPS price increase. Or, Amazon increasing Prime membership fees. Either way, everyone loses, except the billionaires.

Has nothing to do with buying or selling.
Some have more than one eBay account and don't want to show their selling / buying account.
Personally, I prefer to take advice from someone who shows what they sell and what their feedbacks say about them. But that's just me.
And then some here don't sell anymore but like giving helpful advice...nothing wrong with that.

Such a tempting question . . . . . . .
The truth is that the "Rockstar" label has nothing to do with the record of eBay User monroe67 as either an eBay buyer or an eBay seller. (BTW, I do sell on eBay using a different eBay ID. I am not the only one who uses more than one eBay ID.)
These silly little words such as "Explorer", "Guide", "Rockstar", "Superstar", "Trailblazer", even "Legend", are labels assigned by Khoros, the organization that runs these eBay Forums, and not by eBay itself. Each eBay user who posts anything on any of these forums gets a label, whether they want it or not.
You, yourself, are listed as an "Adventurer." Does that mean you are out hiking, kayaking, and/or ziplining every weekend?
The fact that I am labeled a Rockstar while you are an Adventurer should tell you something. Maybe it's that I waste more time on the forums than I should.
Posters advance to higher-level labels based on the number of posts they make on the Community Forums.

eBay published an Announcement about the USPS Fuel Surcharge here in the eBay Community three weeks ago, on April 2, 2026. It includes the two following sentences -- pertinent information highlighted:
"Even with this increase, you’ll still see significant savings purchasing your labels on eBay.
The eBay shipping calculator will automatically include the surcharge on April 26, so you can compare carriers and services pricing."

·4 months agoTemporary? We all know there’s never anything temporary about a rate increase. In November there will probably be an additional increase for the holidays before 2027.
In answer to your question, yes labels purchased on eBay will reflect the increases.

·4 months agoMore like September to Mid January for the "holiday surcharge" when the Christmas Season is just before Thanksgiving, and then when the surcharge expires, they tack on the next rate increase. Greedy cookies who think they are financially smart in charge of the USPS now. eBay gets a bit more from their current fee percentage from this too, but maybe that will offset something in our favor.
On a good note, the phony USPS fuel surcharge doesn't apply to Media Rate, those remain the same (which was a surprising decrease from the previous postage rate increase). If the USPS wants to make dough, they have to attract more shipping; to do that, they have to lower their rates dramatically. The higher the rates, the less I ship. Worse for them, I bulk up what I would normally ship individually. There isn't much at the USPS to make money by other means. Who wants to buy a US Passport book cover, or a twice the cost postage scale, or even boxes that we can find on the side of the road for free? I heard that the USPS has to charge more for boxes so that private competitors do not get stifled as many would buy USPS boxes over other locally if they were the same price (not to mention those free Ground Advantage boxes that should be on this site, lol). USPS needs an overhaul. What a bundle of beans.
