USPS GA - $8.54 for a 2oz Package?
Went to ship a 2oz padded envelope via eBay shipping to a neighboring state, and this was the cost. Even if it was a secure apartment, it still shouldn't be thus much. The eBay shipping calculator reads $4.54.
Something ain't right!

·10 months agoI would be leery of sending those headphones in a padded mailer, there is a chance the part that goes over the ear could be crushed/cracked and destroyed.

OP10 months agoYep, that's what it looks like! Bizarre! After 20K+ eBay shipments, I have never had that checked. What is interesting, is that I closed it up, logged out and logged in again to see if it would change. Nope.
I guess nothing surprises me anymore.

·10 months agoIf you based your listing on someone else’s using sell similar or sell one like this, that designation probably carried over to your listing without you noticing.

·10 months agomaybe but ever since the the 5th when the surge pricing kicked in, I had a "irregular" check marked also, It of course was able to be uncheck marked but that's never happened in 15 years afaik, also every single shipping label is now cheaper on clicknship, which it should be the other way around ebay labels are commercial pricing.
some are .20 some are $3-4.00 less for the exact same address, dim's and weight on clicknship.
seems like something is messed up on the pricing
just checked another order i got tonight, going just to the next state over (same region)
8oz 2x4x8 ebay labels is $5.16
8oz 2x8x4 clicknship is $4.69

OP10 months agoIt's an eBay Shipping glitch. Just printed a label thru Pirate and it was $4.54.

·10 months agoDon't know whether or not this is the answer; however, on about the 5th, a "temporary" holiday increase in shipping costs was announced by the USPS.
