Use other than Ebay shipping service. Can I do that?

Please forgive the naivete of this question. Just haven't sold in a while.
Recently I sold an item on Ebay and it looks I could not find a way to not use or avoid the Ebay shipping.
To be honest I was in kind of a rush, so it is very likely I missed how.
The item I sold was the first in a very long time, so it is very likely things have changed here.
How do you reject or avoid the Ebay shipping service and use your own? Are there rules or restrictions for low volume sellers?
I normally use the paypal shipping. For that item, shipping would have been a couple of dollars cheaper.
I also seem to have heard good things about pirate shipping or similar name. What would be their correct name?
Other shipping sites /shipping services you would recommend?

·Aug 14, 2026 at 6:11 AM@techparts_and_more As others have stated, you can definitely use any shipping postage provider you want. You should also be aware that seller protections may be tighter or non-existant if the label is not purchased through eBay. In a nutshell, cheaper isn't always better.

If you find another shipper, but cheaper, with the same level of shipping, you can use them

Other services may require you to manually enter the tracking number into the transaction. Remember that timely entering of the tracking number within your stated handling time is a metric used by ebay to evaluate your seller status.

You can use whichever shipping service best suits you and your buyers, although eBay is one of the least expensive.
Just remember to add the tracking number to the purchase history after you have made the shipment.
