Use my own shipping label on an item and charge the seller different rate after an item has sold
How can use my own label to ship an item and still charge the buyer when an item has sold? What do I do to charge the seller &X.XX and ship using my own label? I've made up a listing and in the listing got an estimate for shipping. The item has sold but do not see an option to use my own shipping label? I would like to charge a different shipping rate than what is estimate as was able to find better pricing and use my own label. I'm not clear on this process on a sold item. Appreciate the help and clarification.

·10 months agoYou can use any vendor to purchase your label from (ebay, USPS, Pirateship, Shipstation, etc.....)
The cost to ship is determined BEFORE the sale, when you make your listing. They buyer pays what you "calculate" in the shipping section of the listing. That payment is included in the final sale. You then take those funds and supply the shipping label, and enter the tracking number in the listing when you ship it.
eBay labels and pirateship will automatically enter the number through integration...I am not sure of any other supplier.

·10 months agoThe buyer pays the amount your listing charges.
You can either use part of the buyer's payment to purchase the label through ebay or you can go to UPS and purchase the label in person. If you go to UPS, you pay out of your pocket but the money that the buyer paid will be paid out to you.
Note that you cannot change the shipping to Fedex or USPS since your listing offered only UPS ground saver. What you are allowed to do is upgrade to another UPS service.
ETA: I noticed that your listing states, "Buyer to pay through Ebay in less than 3 days of winning bid." Ebay allows buyers 4 days to pay (unless you have a BIN (buy it now) with IPR (immediate payment required) so you have to allow 4 days per policy.

You cannot charge a different shipping rate after the item has sold, if the label you purchase outside of eBay is more than the buyer paid for shipping you get to pay the difference.
