UPS item delivered, but signed for by some unknown person
What is going on with UPS and the tracking numbers showing item was delivered and signed for by someone you don't know? I just had a case where a seller gave me a UPS tracking number for a $5.46 item I purchased from them. When eBay notifications sent me a text stating the item had been delivered, but not to my address I opened a case. I bombarded eBay facebook until my case was resolved.
Last week I purchased something from an eBay seller and the item was delivered on March 15th by Amazon. Well today I get a notification from eBay that my package was delivered today March 17th by UPS and signed for by an unknown person. The UPS tracking shows the item originated in Ontario California and was delivered to Los Angeles same as the package before, which I never received. I had already left the seller feedback for the delivered item on the 15th.
eBay needs to check into why so many buyers and sellers with returns are being scammed with fake or stolen UPS tracking numbers showing items were delivered and signed for. Every seller on here knows it cost extra money usually a few extra dollars to add signature or additional insurance to a package and who uses UPS 2-day service for an item less than $7.00 total.
