UPS claim on label purchased through Ebay
I had an item damaged in transit but was getting this error message when I tried to submit a claim on the UPS site:
"We cannot submit your claim at this time. Please make sure your information is accurate. Otherwise contact your channel partner (UPS:E040 (UPS:E022)"
What I missed when I was filling out the claim form was that under the heading
"Who are you in relation to the package? Required*"
You need to check the box in front of this:
"Did you ship this package through a third-party eCommerce site?"
When you check the box, another box appears so you can put in the email address associated with your Ebay account.
Then it will allow you to complete the claim.
This link does shows this, but there's a lot of other info listed.

I hope this helps someone because the agent at UPS only directed me to the Damage Group I'd have to call back on Monday when they were in.

·6 months agoWhat do you do when that doesn't work? I followed the instructions exactly and after I put my e-mail address in, it kicks me out and gives the following error: "We cannot submit your claim at this time. 1Z14V49E03285***** Please contact the ecommerce platform you shipped on to help you with claim submission. [UPS:E040]" I contacted eBay over the phone and they didn't really know and didn't solve the issue.

·1 year agoWhen you buy a UPS label through eBay, you are using eBay's UPS account and that specific filing process needs to be followed, as you discovered.
