UPS account number for ebay account.
This question has been asked many times and has never been answered. I have an approved claim number from UPS regarding a lost package. They fully admit they lost the package. When I go to submit my documentation, they want an account number. After spending many hours on the phone, apparently a person needs the EBay account number for UPS. One rep. from UPS said to use the number on the shipping label. DOESN'T WORK! EBay is also of no help. My approved claim is $95.04. Please, I'm at my wits end. Help.

·1 year agoI quit shipping any UPS through ebay and now use pirate ship, another benefit is when you get one of those "additional handling" charges from UPS you can easily appeal it and have a good chance of winning.

·1 year agoHello Everyone .
If you are using Apple products, please us google Chrome to file or finish your claim and then use 6 digitals after 1Z ( WE USED 14V388 and it worked)
Thanks

·3 years agoHey ebay,,,,when on the ebay page of an item that a full refund was given for reason that item not received, why don't you have some on how to submit a claim to UPS? I mean is it that hard? Why do we have to google search to this forum to get info? More stupid incompetence all leftover from the stupid covid crap.
ahem, ya thanks to cjwerks for the ebay UPS account number.

·3 years agoYou have no clue the relief I felt after I found this thread. What a waste of time between both companies. We could be busy listing and selling but instead claims are buried with red tape when a simple answer could be given / posted for such a large account. eBay is a huge carrier of the UPS brand you think the two would play together a little more nicely. Than to cause us in the middle stress. The 6 digits after 1Z so helpful!

·3 years agoI have also had a tremendous problem submitting a claim to UPS. I got the claim process started, received the paperwork, but had to enter an ebay account number for UPS. I called UPS then Ebay, UPS then Ebay. No one was able to help me solve this. I found this thread, and tried all options and links. Finally the only option which worked for me was from CJWERKS. THANK YOU! I got my paperwork sent into ebay.
The account number is the 6 digits right after the 1Z of the tracking number. I tried this and UPS accepted my paperwork.
Best of luck to all. Annette

·3 years agoHi, I was just reading this thread about UPS Shipper Number and saw that you were successful in using the 14V534 that CJWERKS posted but wondered if you were also successful in getting your claim approved. Thank you. Kathleen

·3 years agocjwerks information above seems to be correct. Gonna give it a try.
My issue is UPS is overcharging me on shipping of a light item not going very far.
6 digits after the 1Z on your tracking number.
Why no one on ebay or UPS side knows this or how to inform anyone who calls of this is beyond me.
F them both.

·3 years agoWell more ebay/UPS fun.
The first person I talked too said I needed the account number. When I called back with that the next person said I needed an invoice number that they (UPS) sent to ebay. They would not budge.
Spoke to a supervisor. He said I needed to call ebay to dispute it as they needed the invoice number.
Had ebay call me after I put in "dispute" in the chat box I got an American in America to discuss. I don't think this is by chance.
Then the dispute was routed an has to go to through ebay shipping team. Said to expect a message in up to 10 days with resolution.
There was absolutely NO reason for an adjustment of 1.5x to this item as I know UPS is a stickler for dimensions.

·3 years agoDispute was routed to an ebay shipping dispute team and they authorized a refund. I do not know if this is coming from ebay or UPS direct but think ebay.
I have just routed a second one.
Here is the reason I was given for the overcharge OF WHICH NONE of them applied to my first or second package:
Here are the details as to why UPS charged these added charges for future reference:
You were charged for an ‘additional handling charge’ for the packaging. Additional Handling can apply whenever:
• An item is not fully encased in corrugated cardboard.
• When a package weighs more than 50 pounds.
• If the package's longest side is longer than 48 inches if its second longest side is greater than 30 inches long.
• Any cylindrical-like item, such as a barrel, drum, pail, or tire, that is not fully encased in a corrugated

·1 year agoi have had 2 packages where they changed the dimensions by 1 inch on one of the 3 sides. this increased my shipping charge by close to $100. watch out for those dimensional speed traps too!
