(underpaid) shipping labels
Hello, any of you getting scammed out of $$$ from FedEx and UPS? What do you do? I open up cases
with eBay and hear nothing! Call couple weeks later and denied. This is theft. I have had it. I got hit for two
today both were 20.95. I been doing this for 9 years; I know how to weigh and measure size of box. Any suggestions? Sales are tough and paying 30.00 to ship a 20.00 item is ridiculous. How can this be fixed.
Thanks

·1 year agoI do think this is something eBay needs to address. FedEx and UPS are a mine field for shippers. I ship FedEx in my day job and residential surcharges above and beyond commercial deliveries are a real thing, having said that, from what I know, I would never use FedEx or UPS here on eBay. eBay needs to help make these choices more seller friendly and streamline the process so we know what all the potential cost are.
It ridiculous to just say, yes there are surcharges but to not know what the real dollars come out to be is crazy

·1 year agoI agree it is ridiculous which is why I would recommend changing to USPS. I have had no issues so far with them and the label rates being charged coming back. This has been an ongoing problem for sellers using Fed Ex and UPS. There really isn't anything anyone here can do which would change the outcome of your situation. Fed Ex has basically said you owe $20.95 on each package. In addition rates have gone up due to holiday.
Basically the charge you see on eBay is an estimated cost, you receive the final cost after surcharges are applied after delivery. eBay has no control over what those surcharges are.
Try using USPS Ground advantage to fix your issue.
Doing a google search I found this....

OP1 year agoNo. I sold a oven rack compatible with whirlpool
Dimensions 24 x 18 x 1 Weight 2 pounds.
Murfreesboro to Indiana. Label cost 6.81. Purchased label through eBay
I got charged 20.95 shortage. UPS says it weighed 168 oz. That's over 10lbs.
I know what My product weighs. Over 27 dollars!

·10 months agoIt happened to me once with UPS. A domestic shipment. And I know my package weight too and I even have the receipt in hand. The difference is big. I contacted them once. No hear back from them ever. I tried not to use UPS since then.
