Tracking shows delivery but buyer says it was not delivered
Hello. I sold two items separately to a buyer, used the Ebay shipping label with tracking, and tracking says both packages were delivered to the buyer. However, the buyer is telling me she didn't receive either item. She DID receive something else she bought from me earlier, but not these two. She's asking for a refund. But shouldn't she file a claim with the USPS first? I feel I did everything correctly to send to this buyer on each sales. And each sale was less than $50. What would you do? Meanwhile, Ebay is withholding payment.

·1 year agoThis is a possible/probable scam. Had it happen a couple of weeks ago. Seller ships a book, or something cheap to another buyer in your city using Media mail or ground advantage and then uses the same tracker for you. Shows delivered. They got the book and you have nothing. I spoke to my local USPS office and that is what they told me. This same thing was problematic in 2023 during Xmas. Tell the seller that you are onto them and they will refund you. BTW, this is mail fraud.

The OP is the seller. 👌

·1 year agoHere is what you do. You received an "item not received" case against you correct? Provide the tracking number(s) to the case and that's it. You will win the case. The item is delivered. The issue is on her end. She can ask for a refund all so wants she's going to lose an Ebay case.

I'll address ^^^ this part. No... you contracted with USPS for the shipment, not your buyer.
As @stainlessenginecovers suggests, if an Item Not Received claim is opened, add the tracking info to the claim.

·1 year agoNothing you can do except wait it out. Tell the buyer 'check bushes, check with others in house, check with neighbors, take tracking to local PO and see what they say (could've been stolen)
Sellers are covered if tracking shows delivered. If buyer opens 'not recieved' case, you simply respond with tracking).
