Tracking shipments delays this week?
Some sellers started mentioning delays in tracking on eBay.
So of course I decided to see my packages with tracking.
I have an item that was supposed to be delivered yesterday Priority and per eBay it has not. And checking also with the USPS site it has not been delivered...in Virginia.
I have 2 packages to be delivered today and also tracking stopped...nothing out for delivery...items still at hubs...one in Florida and one in Virginia per eBay site. And these show some added movement per USPS but not out for delivery.
Contacting the buyers would be wrong in my opinion in case tracking is not working per eBay or USPS.
Buyers might receive items even though tracking not working. What is going on? I wonder if I am jumping the gun.
I had a package went "freight forward" that was suppose to be delivered in Delaware that shows it onward to next location...October 20th....I got positive feedbacks 3 weeks ago from the buyer. Luckily I did not contact
him , otherwise he would ask for a refund... tracking since "October 20th" from San Francisco to Delaware.
I wonder when this tracking information will get closed. LOL

·2 years agoI have experienced an unbelievably higher than normal tracking issues with USPS. There will be some contrarian in here trying to rebut me I'm sure, but USPS has been having MAJOR tracking issues. I've heard they updated their system sometime in the past 3 - 4 months and the past month, I've noticed Ground Advantage(trash) hasn't been getting scans but than gets scanned at the customer as delivered 2 weeks after I give the customer a refund. I can't begin to express how frustrating and time consuming this has been.
I ship Ebay Standard Envelope and Ground Advantage. ESE, is all done through distribution hubs through automation scans that are not done by humans. There are a lot of pitfalls with this shipping method, but it seems just about as on par with the lack of scans or no scans at all that it has always had with maybe a slight tick up. There is also an issue that an item says "delivered" but it hasn't, but should be delivered the following mail day or 2 days at most.
Ground Advantage, I don't know what the good God in heavens is going on with those items. I sell and ship out roughly 1100 envelopes/packages in 90 days. USPS has been having major issues with tracking and delays. It's been a big problem over the past month. My volume of issues with tracking numbers, items not being delivered, or just not being scanned has 10 folded in the past 30 days, and I have done nothing on my end to change anything. I follow all shipping directions, I have my labels calibrated correctly (I even test out my 2D matrix's with Cognex Dataman scanners and linear barcodes with a zebra scanner into notepad to ensure ease of scanning), and I have had more problems since the last week of October than I've had combined in all my years of selling on the internet. USPS has got to do a little better or eBay's interface with these systems needs to be re-calibrated. It's an absolute mess.

·2 years agoI did notice that USPS tracking on Ebay this week has been delayed for some packages. I verified today on USPS website that at least 4 of these packages with delayed tracking were delivered today which I am very happy about. While the tracking may get caught up on ebay the delays caused some concerns.

OP2 years agoTwo of my packages got returned to post office and one to distribution center. Apparently, buyers didn't see packages being delivered today on eBay site.

·2 years agoMy last shipment two days ago arrived at the first USPS Distribution Center it goes to 24 hours ago, and according to USPS tracking, hasn't been heard from or seen since. I'm expecting one of those helpful USPS emails any minute now that tells me my package is "in transit" somewhere in the biosphere and is still scheduled to be delivered "on time."

·2 years ago"Freight Forward" is the same as "Delivered" when the delivery point is a mail forwarder, it will never change.

OP2 years agoThe tracking USPS shows it "ongoing" and not delivered...anywhere....since October 20th.
