Using letter track for shipping tracking. Having problems with eBay when buyer opens a did not receive claim and clearly the item was delivered. EBay doesn’t recognize the tracking number. I lose!!

·5 months agoBoth ESE and Letter Track use the exact same IMb system, but eBay's system won't take Letter Track's
tracking numbers, if you put one in their system rejects it. If you are sending coins, use ESE, it is cheaper than a stamp and you don't need to pay extra for the tracking.
The OP may be sending out other items in large envelopes, which ESE does not support, but can have IMb tracking and be tracked just like machineable letter mail. Using Letter Track would make sense in this situation, but eBay's system refuses to take them.
This is why eBay needs a "eBay Standard Large Envelope". I get the support issues involved, but for those who know how to use it properly (like using ESE properly), sending things via LE/flat works perfectly fine.

·5 months agoIf you want to track envelopes on eBay you need to use eBay Standard Envelope. As you found they do not recognize other services IMB tracking, this is inherent to the way envelope tracking works. May as well just use a stamp.
ESE is available in limited categories, coins being one of them. Info here: ESE help.
