Top-rated vs regular and late shipment dings
I heard that if you are a top rates seller, as long as you pay for and print a shipping label within your stipulated handling time, you will not get a ding for late shipment as long as there is carrier scan at some point. So let's say you offer same day shipping on an item and your cutoff time for purchases to be shipped that day is 1pm. You get a sale at noon so it qualifies to be shipped that day. You package it up and print the label around 9pm that night so obviously it won't go out get a scan that day. Does ebay's system recognize give you credit for on-time shipping? I heard that it's different if you are not a TRS... ebay's system will see your shipment as late if an actual scan is not seen.

·3 years agoI was dinged twice for no shipping because both buyers picked up their items at my residence. Shipping was not involved. ebay support would not do anything to remove these dings. Leo, clothesusa, member of eBay since December 1996.
