Success Story Needed: How did you get your UPS Service Guarantee refund for a late eBay label?
Summary: waterwheeljapanesekoifarm-1 is experiencing difficulty claiming a UPS Service Guarantee refund for a late delivery through eBay. UPS directed them to eBay for the claim, but eBay support has been unhelpful, redirecting them back to UPS. They are seeking advice from anyone who has successfully obtained a refund under similar circumstances, asking specifically about methods to communicate with eBay support and how the refund was processed.
Hi everyone,
I’m running into the classic "tennis ball" issue where UPS says I must claim through eBay (since they are the shipper of record), but eBay support seems unaware of the process or keeps directing me back to UPS.
The Situation:
I purchased a UPS label directly through eBay.
The package was delivered late (missed the guaranteed date).
I am within the 15-day window to claim the shipping refund.
There is no "Create Claim" button in my Shipping tab for this (I know that button is for insurance/lost items, not late delivery).
My Question: For those who have successfully received a UPS Service Guarantee refund for a late delivery on an eBay label recently:
Did you have to contact eBay via Phone or Chat?
What specific phrase or script did you use to get the agent to understand you wanted a "Guaranteed Service Refund" and not an insurance claim?
Did the refund go back to your eBay account or your original payment method?
Any tips on bypassing the first-level support script would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

·1 month agopretty sure that's never going to happen, in addition ups/fedex/usps like to "always" have a legit reason for the late delivery, so the point is moot. However I wish you good luck attempting
