strength of boxes
Does eBay recommend/require a certain "breaking strength" of shipping boxes? I'm buying a new batch of boxes, and seeing some advertise this attribute. Thanks!

·2 years agoThe box can often endure far more than it's contents. That spec has to do with how much weight it can take without coming apart when handled. It does NOT say didly about protecting what is inside.

·2 years agoAs mentioned above @allheartmarket it really depends what you're shipping. Standard is 32 ect (edge crush test) which is fine for most non-fragile items.
Thing like those awesome blue wine glasses you have should be well bubbled with cardboard dividers, plenty of padding around the outside then double-boxed.
Things like the boots you're selling aren't fragile and would be fine even in the kinda flimsy USPS Priority boxes.
I stock boxes of various strengths and thickness depending what I'm shipping.
