Speedpak employees are a bunch of lying cockroaches
I bought a couple of dozen things from China that were shipped via Speedpak without issue.
Then, in February of this year, something changed. Perhaps the attitude of the Chinese govt towards the USA overflowed and got into the works at Speedpak.
3 packages failed to arrive for orders placed in January - But the tracking info at the USPS public site showed the packages supposedly scanned in at my local post office.
When I contacted Speedpak to tell them that the packages had failed to arrive, they told me that they had been delivered. They also told me that they were closed because they were all off for Chinese New Year from Feb 10-18. This was clearly a lie because they told me that on Feb 12. They contacted me several times after that, before Feb 18, when I sent them tracking info from USPS (at their request).
I went to the USPS and asked them to check their top secret detailed internal tracking.
They said Speedpak (aka OrangeConnex here in the USA) had created USPS tracking numbers WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY RECIPIENT ADDRESS!!! There were other less interesting problems with the orders, such as package weight of 0.1 ounces. They also said that the tracking had been created from the manifest of a shipping container, not by scanning the actual item. I am not 100% clear about how that works, but that's what the tracking shows.
I emailed Speedpak the info from USPS (the manager gave me printouts which I scanned - I was told that they do not usually do this), and the reply I got from Speedpak THIS TIME was in Chinese. The gist of it, based on several hours with the ABC Chinese-English Comprehensive Dictionary, was that they were not interested in hearing from me anymore.
At no point did anyone at Speedpak ever apologize or admit anything. They pretty much stuck to their story that the items had been delivered, that I must have not seen them, and they consequently evaporated with the morning dew, carried off by Bìxiá Yuánjūn.
Again, this was 3 separate packages from 3 different eBay sellers.
And thanks to the Chinese sellers contacting Speedpak on their own, and being told that the packages were delivered, I am now about as welcome in China as Wang Jingwei would be, were he to suddenly reappear.

·2 years agoThis happened to me- 30 pound, $140 item from China, Speedpak/ orangeconnex. There was an ESN# and eventually a USPS delivery confirmation.; however, the package never arrived. I put in a claim with Ebay despite the delivery by USPS confirmation. Ebay sided with me an refunded mu purchase. Helps that I've been buying and selling on Ebay for 24 years! Out of curiosity I was able to find a stateside USPS tracing number for it- it also showed the same delivery confirmation and other stateside tracking details of the ES number, but the post office clerk had delivery GPS information which showed the delivery to be another address in my zip code a few miles away, and the package weighs less than two ounces. He said it's a common scan, sees Ebay buyers going through this all the time.

Since all chinese sellers are drop shippers, who ship their items from regional Govt. controlled warehouses. The automated Speedpak/USPS system used in china when orders are placed, automatically generates a USPS tracking number, but the details are filled in at the warehouse that pulls the order and ships the item. How else would they know within minutes what the package size/weight would be for a multiple purchase order. Your 3 sellers all vetted as Party Members in good standing, may all ship from the same warehouse.

USPS tracking is culled from the manifests of international containers, until the container arrives in the U.S. when USPS takes over. Then it is sorted and transferred to another container or trailer, whose manifest it appears on, until it reaches a regional facility, then possibly from there a truck's manifest taking it to a local sorting center, and from there to your local P.O. where individual packages are scanned as received at P.O. city zip code, then when placed on a route carrier's truck, out for delivery.
The weight of 0.1 ounces is very interesting! It means that a small most likely empty box, or envelope was sent someplace usually in your zip code, getting a delivered scan, which is how fake tracking works. There is proof of delivery.

Speedpak was created in China with ebay helping smooth the way with domestic carriers in the U.S.. It would seem despite your obscure to most, references to the former president of the Japanese controlled puppet government in China during WWII, and an obscure goddess, that you really do not seem to grasp that NOTHING happens in China without Chicom Govt. approval.

·2 years agoDuring the Chinese New Year, it's hit and miss. Some will still work through it, but most observe it and there are delays so that part is not a lie. It has an interesting history, lots of food, family feasts, and many Chinese traditions. Different days each year. Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture.
