Something is going screwy with combined shipping from a sellers side as of late.
I offer combined shipping on all my items. It is very easy as they are all the same size, fit in the same package and the weight stays near the same range when 3+ are added so flat rate works out fantastic. They are all set up as auctions and when a buyer bids and wins one, I send them a reminder message that I do combine shipping and will end other items early since they already purchased. It seems to be working well as shipping is getting very expensive for single items.
But over the last few months, I have been having intermittent problems when combining shipping. For some reason I keep seeing an autopay notification pop up (first jpg).autopay notification
I do not have the autopay settings on (second jpg). Both boxes are unchecked as shown.
When I go to combine I get this secondary popup (third jpg)
error notification when trying to combine
Currently I am having to wait for the autopay to complete then I have to refund the buyer the extra shipping charges. Cumbersome for both buyer and seller. It also changes the first indicator on the MANAGE ALL ORDERS page from Shipped to Partially refunded (fourth jpg)
This is annoying as USPS shipping is becoming more and more unreliable on estimated time frames and I use that first indicator as quick reference to check on very late shipments. Some are taking 4 weeks using usps ground advantage and no buyer wants to wait a month with no updates.
Am I missing a setting somewhere? Can someone help me figure out how to avoid this issue in the future?

·8 months agoCan you clarify: "I send them a reminder message that that I do combine shipping and will end other items early since they already purchased"
Are you ending auctions early to combine shipping?
