Slow delivery to buyer in Illinois
A buyer in East Saint Louis, Illinois purchased an item at the start of Feb and I shipped out as soon as possible (within promised handling time) with a valid tracking number.
But now the package is stuck on USPS side and the buyer threaten me to cancel the order if he does not receive the item withing the next 2 days, even though ebay estimated delivery time is as late as the end of March. So I have 2 questions:
- To anybody who lives or recently shipped in/to Illinois, is the place affected by the bad weather? Would I be protected by eBay (they only mentioned seller protection for the South regions)?
- Can the buyer open a dispute and win if it is still within estimated delivery time?

·1 year agoIf the estimated delivery date isn't until the end of March, the buyer is worrying a little early.
They can't cancel the order and can't file an INR until after the estimated delivery date, through Ebay.

'delivery time is as late as the end of March'..as long as there is tracking you have nothing to worry.
A little curious...maybe others here might answer this.
Item coming from Vietnam...to USA...not sure what item is...but what if it is a cigarette lighter?...is that allowed from one country to another country in shipping and are there special handling like maybe a hazmat situation?

OP1 year agoIt is a vintage digital watch sir. Normally, it only takes 3-4 weeks to deliver but Shipment to USA has been quite slow recently.

OP1 year agoI have shipped lighters as well. As long as the fuel and flint stone is removed. You should be good

·1 year agoIf the way to Illinois requires travelling through Indianapolis, your shipment may be there.
Buyer cannot open a dispute within the estimated delivery time.

They probably could through their payment source.
