shipping via USPS on your ebay sales - DON'T DO IT!!!!
I shipped 5 parcels via UPS to my ebay customers with tracking on March 12. As off today it only show that I created the label. I placed all five packages on the USPS shipping dock as usual.
Talked to a personal contact in the USPS system. They don't scan the items now, they just move them from the local PO to the next facility and store them since they claimed to be behind due to Corvid-19. Funny thing is UPS, FedX and Amazon Prime are having no problems delivering their packages on time.
This is the last time I use USPS for my eBay sales.

·5 years agoSome Post Offices do scan packages left on the shipping dock and some don't (that is in "normal" times). During Covid some Post Offices no longer do the scan and you have to wait for a few hours until it gets to the regional sort center.
If none of your packages dropped off that day were scanned it's probably because somebody came along and stole them.
I've dropped more than 50,000 packages at the USPS loading dock, so far only ONE never got scanned and disappeared completely. FYI - in 40+ years of doing mailorder that is the only shipment USPS has lost.
Do you really think I should stop using USPS because 0.00002% of my packages went missing?

USPS is hit-or-miss, get insurance (not that they'll honor it), or dont sell it if you can't afford to lose it.
