shipping to Thailand
Customer in Thailand has purchased an item but when I go to print label is shows an error, the address has over 40 characters which is the max. What do I do next as i have had no response from buyer on this issue.

·4 months agoWhile you in fact do not lose protections when you split up the address line, I would highly recommend canceling the sale using the problem with address as the reason. You DO NOT want to self ship a $700 item to Thailand.
You do have your listing set to offer USPS international shipping in addition to eIS. You need to remove that option to make eIS the only available shipping method.

·4 months agoYou'll have to type out the 'over 40' on the next line (additional address, find a finished word then continue) (edit) although know that editing means you lose ALL seller protections...BUT:
If it's that $695 Motor- you have 2 types of shipping; Priority where YOU ship direct and take ALL responsibility for the sale, including possible return of a rock (and you will STILL be liable for $700 refund) as well as you have EIS (where you KEEP the sale no matter what, and you do NOT have to 'create' a label....
Since you are trying to create the label I'm assuming buyer chose direct ship.
In the future, you need to remove ALL the 'direct ship' for items that can ship EIS (goes to the hub and you are protected against most all types of refunds as long as it gets to the EIS Leg (usually Illinois).

OP4 months agoThanks for the advise, this is for 3 motors combined. I have the listings EIS set to usps calculated shipping but apparently somehow it ended up direct to Thailand. I'm not sure how this happened. Do you think i should cancel the sale, change a setting and encourage the buyer to try again?
