Shipping to Canada

Question

I'm confused. It is going to a hub in Illinois. I do have EIS, but I'm getting my original Ground Advantage option and don't see EIS.

I clearly can't ship until Friday, but is there supposed to be a EIS option? I want to make sure that I don't mess it up for me or the buyer.

As @jonathanbrightlight pointed out, EIS is not a shipping option -- it's a delivery hub.

So -- yes -- you will be shipping at USPS Ground Advantage rates (or however you're shipping the item) to the EIS hub in Illinois; and, after your package has been confirmed delivered to EIS, eBay will continue the transaction after that -- and you no longer need to worry about it, okay?

It's as if you were selling to eBay, and then eBay is turning around and selling it to your buyer.

So... Here is the straight goods on shipping to Canada.

Seller gets address label and item shipped to EBAY sorting center/DHL.

Item gets sorted and re labelled at sorting center ( DHL ) and is put on pallet.

When pallet is full, pallet its shipped out by DHL ( this can take 7 days in my experience )

DHL then holds item while trying to collect duty and taxes for Canada. Asks you to pay them for duty and taxes.

If you check " pay upon receiving item " they will ask you for 3 to 5 days as it sits. (one item they wanted $55 US which is $76 Canadian dollars)

Eventually Canada post will get the item and when they charge you for duty and taxes it costs $29

Canadian.

EIS isnâ€™t a shipping option. You use Ground Advantage or whatever shipping method is set up for a particular listing to ship to eBayâ€™s hub, and they take over from there. Itâ€™s a forwarding service, essentially, just one with nice protections for sellers.

Maybe I figured it out. I went to purchase postage, although I didn't yet, and I see ship to eis ...... with the hub address. So, if I click that, I'm thinking it's all good..right?
