Shipping rest
Greetings to all,
It seems like Ebay International shipping no longer supports shipping Model Figure Kits and Toy soldiers to the United Kingdon. I just had to cancel an order for this very reason. Can anyone shed light on this?? It appears that these items are now prohibited in the UK. Why??..Other categories such as Music, Books, etc are unaffected.
Thanks in advance

·2 years agoIt has something to do with a marking that needs to be on any toys imported into the UK. They need either a CE or UKCA safety marking which didn't start until around 2020. The entire Toys and games category is restricted by EIS along with many other categories. It is something that happened post Brexit when the UK left the EU.
I have many customers in the UK, so I just switched my listings over to USPS 1st Class International package and haven't had a problem with any going to the UK by that method.
Most of the items that I sell were produced before the markings even came into existence so there is no way for them to have them. UK buyers need to put pressure on their government to have this stupid rule rescinded or they will face many obstacles to buying from international sellers.
