Shipping Question
Hi! I am new to ebay. I have three ceramic canisters for sale and am trying to figure how to list it without getting murdered on the shipping charges. I have sold two items where I have had to pay the difference between what the buyer paid for shipping and what the acutal shipping cost was. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Thx

·2 weeks agoIMO you need to do a better job of making those chips clear. This costs too much to ship to run the risk of the buyer wanting a return when they see the chips. If necessary draw an arrow pointing to them on the photos.
As well as concern about using FEDEX Ground because of additional charges, I would not use them because they provide the roughest handling of the 3 major carriers. All of the FEDEX packages I have gotten for years have shown signs of rough handling and filth.
No matter what carrier you use, you should be double boxing these canisters, have you priced in the likely cost of dimensional weight in the shipping?
I am one of those sellers who has become very lazy in my old age, and I would not sell these canisters because of the effort required to pack them properly and the shipping cost.
When I was younger there was nothing that was legal to ship that I would not ship.

Also buy a scale and a measuring tape.

Your canisters are listed with the shipping option of Fed Ex -- Fed Ex has become notorious for adding additional charges without prior warning to either the seller or buyer.
Try USPS Ground Advantage instead, or USPS Priority -- and pack those items VERY carefully!
